This is a bit sudden, but for anyone interested, we are looking to throw together a little NG meet in Denver, Colorado to co-incide with the Great American Beer Festival (Beerfest for short).
This is not an official meet, so if you want to come you are on your own for travel/lodging etc... but I know a lot of you guys live within driving distance and motel 6 keeps the light on for you.
The main event will be attending Beerfest on Saturday, Oct 11 at 5:30pm until we get kicked out or 10:00pm comes around... whatever happens first.
If we want to make an eventful weekend out of things, Elitch Gardens (the local theme park) will be having their FrightFest, so we could hit that up on Friday night (Oct 10)
That would give us friday to get kicked out of an amusement park, saturday to get kicked out of Beerfest and sunday to recover until it's time to go home.
Admission to Beerfest is $50 if you plan on drinking, or $20 if you come as a designated driver and just hang out.
Admission to Elitch Gardens is $35, unless you are over 70... then you get in free, but might get arrested by Chris Hansen for trolling NG.
Depending on how big of a group we get, I might also pony up and throw a BBQ at PG manor, so there is a chance of some free food here!
If you plan on attending, let me know ASAP and I'll see if I can't set up some discounted group lodging so we can all hang out and party. We have a pretty solid public transit system here with a lightrail and plenty of buses, so I'll aim to get a good location that's close to those amenities.
