Luis posted a pic of his tank trophy, as well as a link to the London Meet III Photo Hub. Check out all the pics from the London Meet Up! I wasn't able to make it because of PAX, but maybe I'll make it out to the next one in January... MAYBE.
With all of the stuff on the front page, I can see how it's easy to miss THE BEST. We've dabbled with having a spotlight box to promote THE BEST stuff, but in the meantime, there are some specific submissions that I want to personally recommend:
A Slice of Action - I've just been in love with everything Happy Harry puts out. You should watch ALL of his movies. This one is short too so the there isn't much time commitment.
Aether - An art game by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel that will whisk you away to other worlds. The Flash scene needs a lot more artist / programmer collaborations and the "art game" genre specifically has a lot of room to grow. For another great example of art gaming, check out Braid on XBLA.
Journeys of Reemus: Ch.1 - It's called Chapter 1 but it's actually the second Reemus adventure. As far as point and clicks go, these are my favorites.
We'll be having our third annual treasure hunt in October! Start making a mental note of great submissions that never scored a spot on the front page.
Gel has made a job posting for an animator position at Current TV! Whoever lands the job will get to work with Gel and Dustball on Current TV's SuperNews show.
PiGPEN is now looking for musicians for the new Morphemon Duelists. He's also still looking for voice actors and someone who can create some 3D models.
dlasal got some local press for his latest game, Billy Genocide!
Here's a cool idea: An AS3 Code Collab! If this collab is a success, the end result will be a Flash submission made entirely from AS3 code, put together by a whole bunch of programmers who add a few lines at a time. Check it out and MAKE IT HAPPEN!
The Metal Gear Collab (remember that thing?) Disc 2 will finally arrive this week.
Here's a pic of the finished 2007 tank trophies, solid bronze and each heavier than an Oscar:
