For those of you that don't know, September 19th is International Talk like a Pirate Day (I bullshit you not).
I personally hadn't a clue this existed, but apparently my university is gonna take it really seriously. Apparently, last year all the lecturers spoke like a pirate the whole time. So I'm looking forward to it, gonna be a good laugh.
Tell me Newgrounds, will you embrace the holiday spirit? Would you go so far as to post in pirate speak on Sept. 19th?
To tell ye the truth, I be not posting in ye fancy land-lubber tongue fer the day.

Yeah, just found out about it a few days ago, sounds like it could be a bit of craic if it's taken seriously.
I personally hadn't a clue this existed, but apparently my university is gonna take it really seriously. Apparently, last year all the lecturers spoke like a pirate the whole time. So I'm looking forward to it, gonna be a good laugh.
Wow, I don't know how they could hold any lectures or tutorials if that was the case. Personally I'd spend too much time laughing my ass off to do any work. I'd even take notes in pirate-speak if I was thus inclined.
Tell me Newgrounds, will you embrace the holiday spirit? Would you go so far as to post in pirate speak on Sept. 19th?
Well, if enough people know about it, then sure. I don't want to look like a random psycho who has pirate-related delusions.
To tell ye the truth, I be not posting in ye fancy land-lubber tongue fer the day.
Yar, by the soul of Davy Jones I swear it!

They were the underlings of civil society. The last band of brothers against the revolution of modern living. Being free on the seas and taking what they wanted. It's the same reason people look up to gangsters these days. They're the ones with the balls to wave the finger at authority and live their own lives without government governing what they do in a day. 1337.

Haha, make it mandatory. Mods giving out bans for refusal to take part. Imagine the ban messages:

Thank you for the input, sir. I'll make sure to take this all into consideration the next time I go about judging their character. Harharhar.

I was lurking on the official site, and I found this.
It's a guide on improving your pirate lingo, useful for those of you who are actually gonna go through with it. It's worth a read, even if it's just for the laugh.
