Well actually this was a sad attempt at me poking fun at myself and my lifestyle and music because unless the creator of this thread adds more content we don't have a whole lot to debate here.

Yes, politics are bad in some respect: you're not making the choices, the people in power (not you) are.

But then again, without politics we'd still be in living in caves, throwing feces at each other. We need some sort of direction in which we can organize our society.

Even anarchy (yay!) is based upon the rejection of the way politics work, it's like the Taoist principle of the yin-yang. Without politics, there would no basis on which anarchy could be created.

And that would just plain suck.

And what would you have instead?? Chaos and lawlessness?? Any society, whether human or animal, is held together by a system of rules and regulations. Even if you disbanded government, you would still have unspoken laws, or the laws of violence and self interest, governing everything. You can't escape government and politics no matter how hard you try.

TV stations like MTV make them look bad. Im not saying that i dont enjoy MTV, but they do throw alot of mud around when it comes to politics. On tV, Politics are not really shown correctly. Take the Daily Show for instense, they diss the republican party just because they are democrats. Thats why politics look bad, you are just feeding on whats on MTV or comedy central
