Pronunciation: pwned?

How is one supposed to pronounce 'pwned' or 'pwnd'?

My friend says it should be said like poond, however I have always thought of it as pawned, like a pawn in chess or whatever..

Or is it just pee doubleyou en ee dee. I don;t think so, but anyway..

So how do you pronounce 'pwned'?

I say it like 'poned'. Rhymes with owned. Basically, owned with a 'p' at the beginning.

Pwned is pronounced, "Owned." Don't tell me its not, because the lingo started with saying Owned, and then pwned became because of a spelling error. People went with it, but still said, "Owned," when pronouncing it. Then, most of NG's users were born. And now, today is as bad as ever.

You're supposed to say Owned. Pwned in just a misspelling of owned, because the o is next to the p in the keyboard.

No offence to anyone who pronounces it differently, but unless you pronounce it 'Owned' you all fail.

'Pwned' is 1337 speak for 'owned' because it was commonly misspelt as 'pwned' because the 'P' is right next to the 'O' on QWERTY keyboards.

Therefor it should be pronounced 'Owned' and if you dont say it that way you are just not '1337'.
