The thing is, celebrity gossip would be far less interesting and make far less of an impact if nobody spoke about it.

Although I don't care about celebrities at all and don't wish to have anything to do with the knowledge of these people's personal lives, i think the hundreds of people complaining about celebrities and their culture only really fuels the flames and gives the tabloids a reason to report. If we all shut up about celebs, the tabloids would realise that they're shit nobody cares about and would move on to reporting on other things.

But with or without celebrities, Tabloids will still remain the arseholes of the media.
