A moderator's perfect forum...

Seriously, the mods have made the BBS less, and less funny, in my opinion, and have been strict as a motherfucker lately.

Through all of the close examination of moderator bans/ posts I have concluded as to what the perfect utopia for NG mods would be.

. Less than 50 topics on each forum.

.Barely any members

."intelligent" topics.

.The rare use of the caps lock key, unless starting a sentence.

.Boring as Hell.

.You can't be funny, you can only be "witty".

.SERIOUSNESS!

Well there are some intelligent users here, and having younger users flood the BBS with their "random" (Fuck I hate that word) jokes makes this place less fun to be in. I like to contribute and discuss, rather than laugh at somebody saying Banana Sausage.

There's not much that the moderators have banned that hasn't already gotten or would quite quickly get old.

The problem is that no one knows how to be funny without stealing some overused joke by some overrated comedian or show.

They are moderators. They moderate. That's all.

I think they are doing very well, the problem is not them, is the forum. They wouldn't have to close topics if they didn't break the rules. They wouldn't have to ban people if they read the rules.

Each they, the General forum is becoming worse, and that's why you think mods are more strict. They are just doing it right.

Well different people have different interests, hence the need for such a broad forum. Not every user can be funny, and not every post has to make you laugh. Similar to what we're doing now, you can simply take part in a discussion that interests you and express your opinions.

Maybe the BBS was funnier in '03 and '04, but that's not to say that an increased level of maturity is a bad thing.
