No responses means no one cares. Doesn't give you a reason to break the rules. Im pretty sure there are plenty of threads in the politics forum with similiar discussions? try joining in instead of making a new one.

I'm British, so I don't know a WHOLE lot about the election (albeit I do know more than most brits). I'd like to say Obama will win, but you can never really be sure until the election is over. I don't trust the political election system personally just for the sheer scope for an outcome to be rigged.

I think Obama is going to win. I'm under the impression that Americans are focused more on the media and apperance then they are the actual issues. Obama is everything George Bush isn't and I think that's going to weigh heavly in Obama's favor.

Add in the race factor and the fact that the media just won't stop showing his face and I don't think McCain stands much of a chance.

Some of the polls I've seen show a close race between the two but I don't think the polls are representative at all of what's going to happen on election day. I could be wrong... I guess we'll all find out soon enough.

Let's be fair, the whole point of political campaigns are to manipulate people into voting for you. Doesn't matter who you are or what your policies, the whole aim is to manipulate the masses into thinking you're the best person to lead the country. That's just politics.

I dislike how they focus on all these scandals and drama. I've never actually seen American politicians promote a plan for the economy, it's all about stay in/pull out of Iraq, Obama's black, Hillary's a woman, McCain's old, Colbert's running for president, Palin's daughter's pregnant.

I don't give a shit, I want them to stop a possible economic collapse, do something about gas prices whether it's funding alternative fuels, getting it cheap from some commies, or dipping into reservoirs. Stop the banks from giving out all these loans for houses for people without collateral.

REAL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED!!!

Sure, America might be threatened by some group half way across the world, but that should stop them from dealing with things at home.

Like NEVR, I too am a Brit, but I think Obama will win, as Hillary just got all her supporters to back him.

Obama, better economic plan, tax cuts for middle classes, stimulation small business sector. Mccain, however, focuses on cutting tax for the wealthy and mega corporations and is trying to push through another 3,6 trillion bucks to keep the economy running. He knows jack shit when it comes to economy.

Obama, yes. Mccain no. And yes, I could care less about the war.
