If you're submitting anything, ANYTHING (whether it be flash submissions, music, or blogs, comics, really anything) through Google's Chrome browser, Google owns it because you used their browser.
Take a look. http://tapthehive.com/discuss/This_Post_ Not_Made_In_Chrome_Google_s_EULA_Sucks
Check their EULA.

Wow, that is really fucking scary. It reminds me a bit of all the shit the people at Facebook (which I boycott) pull.
I s'pose I'll be boycotting Chrome too, now.

They created some software, they're allowed to put whatever they want in the EULA. If you agree to it, that's all they need.

So guess what? I am now officially never getting Chrome, ever. Thank you Google for simplifying the decision making process with your skillfully worded legal disclaimer.

"This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services."
I find the eplicit "sole purpose" to show that Goolge won't, and now can't, use your work for anything other then displaying and using it to promote their browser. Taking your cartoon and turning it into a million dollar movie is still illegal.
Also, it states taht the Services can be revoked by Additional Terms of those Services... meaning that the Terms here on Newgrounds override Googles Terms in Chrome.

Still, they would be free to modify anything you made and call it their own (whether it be a program, idea, song, movie, etc), and you could do nothing about it since you agreed to giving them the ability to modify it.

Having a read through the privacy agreement it does say that the only data that will be sent to Google is basic usage statistics like OS version, CPU etc and optionally crash reports.
I'm going to assume this is what Google means in the terms and conditions and it's just a bit of a bad choice of words. And yeah, I'm making this post on Chrome anyway, bloody hell is it fast.

Even then they can only do it to promote Chrome. Worst case scenario you'll see your picture displayed on a computer screen in a Chrome advertisement. No harm, no foul.
Add in the odds of them selecting your work and multiply by the amount of creative works you post on the internet, minus the amount of works you already own the copyright too in some way, shape or form, divide by other user agreements you've agreed to that overwrite this statement in chromes agrement and you'll find you have nothing to worry about.

That video made me laugh. It started out semi-serious and then finished on Google trying to take over the world and it works with the US government. What bollocks.

I'm sure that google will edit the EULA now that its attracted some attention. I'm not against google trying to do what they can to make the google experience more google-oriented. It'll probably implement google docs tools more seriously, which would be cool, since I use it more than I do microsoft word. I mean, everything google does, really, is meant to tailor to the google experience. It's not like they're forcing you to use it.
Ahoy!
