I can imagine how the pitch for this movie went.
Asshole Producer: So Kids like Dragonball Z right? So why not take an American Douchebag and make him the lead character? Oh and turn the villain into a Pinhead from Hellraiser lookalike and let's not forget the guy who trains the lead character. Well obviously a really old guy wouldn't make sense so let's get a stereotypical Martial Arts Movie Star.

I hope no one goes to see this so it will bomb, like Speed Racer.

It isn't Dragonball Z, it's Dragonball. Yea, there's a difference. It was a manga made in the 80's. It's the sequel that could be Dragonball Z, where Dragonball left off.
