Tell us about your first day back!

I searched for back to school topics and all I found was some saying there was a fight, something about relationships, and another that the purpose was not clear...so I am making this hoping is the first with that question:

tell us about your first day back to school-be it highschool or college or whatever.

Mine is not over yet, just in between periods. I'm in college taking electronics engineering.
So far all is the same as I remember it (for personal issues I had to withdraw after my first year and took a year off, now I am back and starting from square one since they revamped the program entirely)

As always, first day profesors have gone through a bit about themselves and their background on the field..which is even more boring than the first time sincei already heard it before. Long lines to get a locker so I won't bother for another 2 days. Another long line to get your laptops (program requirement) 'cause as always people like to prcrascinate (sp?), cafeteria food...actually decent for a change.

Also, surprised. I am carrying my own laptop and the schools, but i got a backpack for them, so the weigh distributes evenly and i don't feel it as heavy, and here people are complaining about one lol...but they have the other type of bags, you know, the ones you only carry on one shoulder, that sucks.

Anyway, I will check back in later to see if there are any replies, and to add to my day, feel free to leave a response about YOUR day :)

First proper day tomorrow. Looks like it may already be a disaster seeing as i've got P.E. and we have two different kits. However we havn't been told which to bring. If you bring the wrong one then the P.E. teachers expect you to have known somehow to bring the right kit.

Apart from that it doesn't seem to be that bad.

It seems that most people have gone back today too. I'm in the UK and I started high school as a freshman today. Luckily, it was only us year 9s in and we had no lessons, just assemblys and such. However, tomorrow, the older years + the 6th formers come in and our lessons start. I'm scared a s fuck.
Plus, according to my timetable I have PE tomorrow, and that seems to get worse year by year.

Well my lectures and seminars don't actually begin until Thursday, but I bought a couple books, got my free* bus pass and a bunch of discount** cards and signed up for a couple of clubs.

My class schedule is fucked up so i only have 2 classes instead of 4, and i had to sit for 75 minutes twice not doing anything waiting for the office to call me down to fix the classes. I actually did need a laptop, but it is provided by the colege, with option to buy. Ours is a toshiba, and actually pretty good I might add, except for that stupid enter key, this model the key went on a diet and is too skinny, I keep missing it >:(

My personal laptop is actually an acer as well, but a bit bigger thn the pic you posted.

Also, wow, a lot of people starting late, what gives? I feel cheated :(

you think that's bad? my gf just had a baby so every waking moment that I am not working I have had to be in the hospital with her, and I am still on my basic 6pm to 3am shift, my sleep pattern is so fucked up I have been haing 3-4 hours of sleep a night the past couple of onths, not to mention today I tried to force myself to sleep and I couldn't, I kept waiking up..I have maybe 40 minutes top of sleep after beinn awake for 36 hours straight...

ain't coffee the greatest invention or what? :)

First day back was nice, got to see everyone again - have decent teachers and shit. I actually went back on the 28th of last month, but it feels as if today was the first day all over again. Honestly, I'm loving it, being a senior this year and all. My classes are easy as shit, and I have to do less than an ounce of work a day. I'm also extremely loud and obnoxious in the hallways because it's funny.

My first period english classs is right next to my last years first period. english classAlso my business class is in the same room as last years finance class.(we keep getting teachers from Pittsburgh lol)My Oceanography techer is the best.If your tired he will let you take a nap outside his class as long as Administrators dont catch you.He is one of the most prominent and prestigious fencing coaches in Virginia.

He is extremely lenient on work doesnt believe in busy work is incredibly funny and treats us like College students(were Seniors)You actually have to be on a waiting list for his class .

Over half of the people(300 people) on his waiting list were from outlying counties.He has family living in the Azoras a chain of islands in the middle of the atlantic ocean.
