So I tried some "tests" with the browser...
I put up Audio Portal player in one tab and a random Youtube video in the other. Compared it with IE using the same tabs and links, and Chrome started lagging to hell until I closed IE and it ran smooth again.

Funny thing is, Audio Player crashed in IE and shut the whole thing down. IE had about 20MB less memory usage though if you combined all the chrome processes.
Someone should try this with FireFox and really see which is the better browser.

We'll see though since this IS just a beta. Still not perfected over years and years of work like those other browsers.

My sig sucks.

It seems to have trouble with Java plug-ins. I tried downloading it again but nothing. I'll try watching a flash. Will I need to re-download all the plug-ins?

That little pop-up tab with the address of the link your mouse is over is awesome as well.

Sounds good.

Nothing Google does ever gets out of beta. They just stay beta forever so they have an excuse when things go wrong.

Since this is only the BETA I expected major problems but apart from the occasional lag this is great. Flash runs smooth, it's fast. It just needs to be customisable and have an ad blocker and I'm sold.

It works a little faster than Firefox I think. This is my first post using Chrome. The little link-thing at the bottom kinda bothers me. It's flickering all the time while I'm browsing, but for the rest I love it!

I really like it. Especially how there is no bottom bar, and when you hover over a link the bar pops up showing the URL. Also the close/minimize/restore buttons look like their from a Linux distro. Very cool indeed.

Every time I switch back to a previously opened NG tab, it seems that the background moves left and right with my mouse.

Very annoying.

But the task manager's cool.

After reading the comic, does anyone else feel like this browser is the second coming?

I think the marketing was alittle over-the-top, almost 1950's surrealist "Hello there Billy" style.

Very annoying.

And a lot of the time the background continues well after the page stops, so tapping end doesn't work to get to the last post because it overshoots.

I like it, but one thing I absolutely love about firefox is the very nice zoom feature. With google chrome, it for some reason seems that zooming into stuff is worse than IE's zoom. I always zoom in like crazy with firefox (I have a 28'' monitor, why not make it bigger?). I have to keep newgrounds on default size or else the whole layout gets ruined. Hopefully they fix that. I know firefox has a pretty complicated algorithm for that.

My PC: 4GBs of Ram 1066mhz, 8800 GT, HAF 932 Case, 500GB HD, Q6600 OC - 3GHZ, 28'' 1920x1200, liquid cooling, G15 Keyboard, G9x Mouse, 5.1 Surround Sound

It feels weird looking at the webpage. Usually eyes are distracted by the huge amount of bookmarks, favourites and add-on toolbars. It works so well because the tabs are on the actual bar that you move around with and everything else is on-line with the address bar.

I fixed the Java problem too.

Everything is great so far apart from Windows Live Hotmail being a bitch. It comes up with this error. At least you can continue and it still works though.

Meh - until they come out with plugins, I'm going to continue using Firefox.

Yes, I'm using Chrome to type this.

That is quite honestly, great. You click that, it asks if you want to leave and you just hit OK. That solves an annoying problem.

HOW?

I typed in Java Tester and got this website. I clicked on 'Test the version of Java your browser is using' and I got the same message I got last time. I scrolled down and followed the latest download link. I installed it and restarted manually (it doesn't prompt you to do so). I went to the website it wouldn't work on and it prompted me to allow it access. I did so, it downloaded a few more things and it worked.

Have fun playing Runescape.

That and being able to change the theme.

Is there any way to disable the Most Visited speed dial page? I'd rather not have my father use my computer only to see a bazillion porn sites once he opens a new tab.

Isn't that what the incognito button is for?
