If you remeber, Jak was silent in the original Jak and Daxter game. Oh, and those who say that silent characters are just laziness, you are wrong. A silent, (sometimes faceless) protagonist allows you to perceive him how you want him to be. He can't prove you wrong. Really, how many of you wish Raiden was a silent protagonist? He would have been much better if you didn't know how whiny his voice was.
P.S. on a technical side, Claude Speed (GTAIII) was an antagonist, not a protagonist.
