Sorry, but it is traced. If you lay your pencil drawing over the origianal it matches..almost perfectly...

It's obviously not traced. You can see that some of the wrinkles on the thumb are shorter on his drawing. I might post something sometime.

After the initial comment was made, I too did a comparison. While I got some of it to line up, you would have to move the page around to get other parts to line up, which un-aligns the rest of the picture. I'm sorry but either the artists doesn't know how to trace and the picture kept getting moved out of place, or he is good enough to attempt to cover his tracks by doing it himself. You make the call. I still think it is an accurate representation and not a trace.

I can't find them, but I drew the cover art for Chiodos' Bone Palace Ballet, and I also drew Drop Dead, Gorgeous' Worst Than a Fairy Tale. They were way good, but I misplaced them.
