Thats a browser/user problem, it has nothing to do with the fact that you're using a mac. I have 2 imacs at home and i don't have problems with either of them.

Also, if you download Saft or Glims, they add a "max window size" to the Safari menu. The green button isn't a max-size one, it resizes the window to what seems suitable for the contents - in the case of the internet, it re-sizes the window so only the main part of the page is visible, and not the side parts of pretty much empty space.

It's only Safari that sucks for browsing NG -- I used to have the same problem. Just switch to a different browser (not IE like someone suggested -- they don't even make that for macs anymore), and you should be good to go.

Never had a problem for browsing NG on Safari, it's actually slower on Firefox for me. I love how people say "mac sucks" when one problem happens to one person. Same problems happen on PC. Shit ain't perfect.
