Install windows On a Mac...

Full Title: How to Install Windows on a Mac without having a Windows CD?

How would you do it?

I want to have both Mac OS and Windows XP on my Laptop, but I don't have a windows disk :O

Any ideas?

I'm not sure how you'd do it, but I do know it might involve having to format your hard drive, partition it, and then reinstall both operating systems anyway.

Gah not the point. I want to have both. I like Mac OS for alot of reasons and Windows for alot of reasons, so I want both on the same computer.

I just don't think it's possible your computer would probably crash frequently.

Since macs started using pentiums its become possible to install windows on a mac. You'd have to create a seperate partition. I'd recommend googling "Windows on A Mac" or "Linux on A Mac" for ideas on how to do it. Additionally, you will need to buy a Windows Vista OS install disc, probably a couple hundred dollars.

How have you not heard of Boot Camp? It's either that or use Parallels Desktop, but even then, the two OS's have to share resources.

why would you want to? Viruses are targeted for Windows. Plus in opinion Macs are more user friendly, and yet I typing this on a PC... oh the irony....

Windows Vista is an operating system. It costs money.

If you do get Vista don't get basic it's terrible make sure it's Premium.

But a Windows CD, both XP and Vista work. But I believe only 32Bit Vista works with Intel Macs.
Start up BootCamp, follow instructions.

If that was too hard for you to understand, try this.
