Got 500 Gigs of memory for B-Day

Well I was at the Wal-mart and instead of being aloud like in other gamer like myself not getting a next gen console; I was giving a 100$ bucks and able to do anything with it (I do consider myself grateful even just for that). I look at any spot in the electronics and found a 500 gig flash drive for that amount and the only words that past through my lips where "Sweeeeet!" Rung it up and payed for the 8$ in tax out of my own pocket cuz I don't anymore I have 500 gigs!

And I say this now before you Wii haters start to bash it. My friends are bring over their Wii's and their own copy's of Brawl and we are going to have a smash fest until one of us rains supreme over the others :D

You're mistaken, not even SSD's could probably even go that high, maybe the high ends can, but a flash drive cannot.

Well I was talking more about the party itself tomorrow. My mind is thinking of three things at once right now.

1. 500 gigs
2. SSBB party tomorrow
3. Going to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Monday

I have an external 750 gigabyte harddrive that is really useful, I store all my files apart from software on it so even if I am switching to one of my laptops or other stationary computers I can access all of my files. Also, if one of my internal harddrives crash the files are still safe on that external harddrive.

Really something great for all people who have files that they care about a lot and want to be able to use them on different computers. I mean, I even have 500 gigabytes on internal harddrives in this particular computer, but I still find this extremely useful.

Or, you can just keep everything on one harddrive and be sorry after it has crashed or whatever~

I heard that in some university in California they managed to get one terabyte (which is 1000 gb if I'm not totally off track) on one DVD, with some special technology.

So, OP, what exactly do you need 500 gb for anyway?

Its weird that everytime you go buy a new hardrive which has lots of time sthe space of your priveous one, you always think: wtf am I doing to do with all that space. A couple of months/weeks later you find your hardrive up to the neck with data, and then you go buy another.

I assume it's an external HD, because I've never seen a Flash drive with that amount of storage.
