English is just a pattern of communication, please do not bicker over the technicalities, it's unnecessary. If I make a grammatical or spelling mistake, please find it in yourself to forgive what has become a trespassing on your personal integrity because that's the only thing you can get right so you have to take pride in it so you don't realize how reasonable your suicide is.
The reason stopping belief in religion is necessary
If something is false, yet it makes you feel good and it doesn't do others much harm, I would gladly encourage your belief in it. Unfortunately for all of us (myself included), such isn't the case with religion.
It encourages ignorance and despises inquiry, evidence, and intellectual discourse.
When this kind of belief system is believed by a significant amount of people in an influential country (Like, IDK, U.S. for example), the foreign policy is a debacle and the domestic policy is a paradox. Examples of this can be seen in how we must deal with Iraq, and how we deal with Abortions. If I make this too long, just the kind of people that need to read it, won't, so... Religion isn't necessary, if it is for you, then obviously what's necessary for you isn't compatible with a group of sentient beings who want to have the most enjoyment possible, so you should remove yourself from the group, immediately, as to minimize the negative effect you're having on it by believing in religion.
