Mp3 to Midi converter?

Any one know whats a good Mp3 to Midi converter?

An MP3 file is a file made up (compressed) audio information, whereas a midi file is a set of instructions telling your computer what notes to play, when, for how long, etc. An mp3 contains none of the instructions that midi files are made up of. It's sort of like trying to convert a jpeg file into a photoshop file with separate layers, etc.

Nice simile there dude. But yea, I don't think you can change Mp3 into MIDI (if only, if only...). But try looking around popular MIDI sites. Oh, btw, what song was it you'r liikong for anyways? Someone might be able to help you out with that...

One I use Audacity, you can edit music, put effects, and convert a lot of formats.

Actually you can convert any music format to MIDI!
You'll need a MIDI editor and a good ear! Then you hear the song and edit the insructions. See? Its possible!

You can't transcribe MP3 to Midi automatically - signal processing and AI just isn't advanced enough for that yet. There are some apps that try it all the same, but they only work for the simplest tracks you can think of, badly.

What you may have done is accidentally exported an mp3 file out with a .mid extension - Windows will read the headers, realise that 'midi' file is really just an mp3, and play it as an mp3 anyway.

An Mp3 with the wrong extension is still just an mp3. :)
