Also, Alien Hominid was specifically made for Gamecube, and it got ported to PS2, Xbox, and the fucking GBA, as well as XBLA. So don't suck Behemoth's cocks and whine on how porting is hard.

I still think that it would be a good idea.
Okay, porting will be hard, but come on, it's a 2D game, and not an extremely complicated one..
And I don't think it will get pirated that much.First of all, pirating won't be a big problem because, well, it's Behemoth (AKA the "Newgrounds devs"), and second, the multi should be way more fun than SP, especially if you manage to get the game on Steam.

Eh, look at most new FPS games... They're most likely made for consoles first, with all the inbuilt auto-aim, matchmaking and all that console bullshit.

And for the record, Behemoth spent about a year porting the PS3 version, so get your facts straight

No, PC gamers only care about flashy first person shooters.

3rd person shooters work too.

The xbox 360 is a good console. But be warned, don't make friends with FPS gamers because whatever FPS game you met them in is the only game they'll play with you. I quit XBL because of annoying friends, then again I should just stop being nice and delete them all. I guess I will, I rather play with friends who have a sense of variety and not redundant games like Halo and MW2.

Actually, porting from 360 to PC shouldn't be too hard at all. Where PS3 uses an operating system very far from the workings of Windows (the most often-used OS for gaming, by far), the 360 actually uses a deprecated (albeit highly modified) version of Windows, meaning programming for both systems isn't too different, with only a few differences that need to be made.

Millions of which don't even use them to play games! What are you? 12? A computer is also happens to be a tool for useful things. It's not just your mindless violence/porn box. Not everyone has a 3000 dollar PC that runs Crysis at full settings or, hell, is even is aware of videogames like Castle Crashers.

That is why it is potentially more profitable to release on PC.
Key word: potentially!
The best sales have been on the PC, games like StarCraft, Sims, and WoW have sold much better than most console games.

What Games are you comparing this too? Eh have you not seen the sales for nearly every Nintendo game? And whoever said about not many people use their pcs for gamin that is bs. Most of my friends use their pcs/laptops for gaming even if the quality is terrible. And one last thing My friend recently got CC and I was taking the piss but after i played the game I would like it very much. :-D

are you fucking kidding me? do you want them to RUIN castle crashers?
ANYWAY i read in ps mag that its coming to ps store. I dont think they want to bring it to pc because even though they may get some people to buy it i reckon many more would just pirate it.

Castle Crashers for PC would be awesome.... but if people already hack/glitch the Xbox360 version, online play for the PC would just be broken...

That aside... I'd love to see/play CC for the PC.

To go completely off topic, lots of new posters on this page.

On topic, would be nice to get Castle Crashers on PC, but I'd rather see the new game Behemoth is working on.

Oh my dog, it's now "PC vs XBox360" topic. No, really, on topic - I want it on PC badly.
Off topic - guys, really - I'm one of console haters, but it's because I live in post-USSR region. Being reallistic - I like PC, 'cause there're endless posibilities from indy, flash and ending with modding and other uses of PC. If your are hell of a gamer - you'll spend a fortune on console games while on PC they are cheaper and you can configure your PC to get monster-machine. If not low-tech consoles, PC graphics whould be on fantastic levels now. And, also, if you're lame retard, that can't wire PC properly to your TV - my regards, but there's no difference between plaing on consoles or on PC, PC is even better due to the keyboard.
No offence, guys. Peace.

I'd actually want to see something like a "Behemoth Orange Box" where Alien Hominid HD, Castle Crashers, and the new game are ported to Steam all at once.

I think Castle Crashers should be released through Steam. I feel that it's better suited for the Steam community vs. the Xbox community.

but if the makers of Castel Crashers were thinking right, they should have understood that making the game for the PC would be much more profitable.

except for the money they lose from pirates, because it's SO HARD to pirate on the PC. I don't think anyone has ever pirated a PC game before, that's just unheard of!

You people seem to think that porting a game between consoles is an easy job. No, it's not. The game was made for the 360, more specifically XBLA. It's made to run on the 360, with a controller. You can't just take it, switch up the controls and have it work on the PC. You have to adjust to the new hardware, which is completely different from the 360. This process can take months (usually more) to finish, then you have to debug it, etc..

Long story shot, you can't just port it and have it work magically. Things don't work like that.

You think that changing controls is the hardest part of porting a game? Do you think computers work themselves or something?

Anyway, releasing CC on PC is the only way I'm getting it. Last I checked they released Super Meat Boy on PC and it does rather well. Hell, I bet it sold more on Steam than Xbox due to how Steam operates.

Either way the creator's loss. If they wanted to be so narrow minded as to release their game on a single platform then that's their loss. Only a braindead idiot would do that but whatever.

Seconded.
Having the Behemoth catalogue on Steam would be an excellent idea. Take a look with Super Meat Boy and Magicka sales, they managed to earn decently.

Anyway, there is still hope as Castle Crashers came out on the PSN.

I doubt it. Why would anyone go out of there own way to buy a disc for castle crashers, when you can easily download it from XBLA.

I know, but personaly i would probably preffer it for PC. all my games are on my PC, and i dont have any consoles but the wii witch sucks. (no offence wii owners. well, maybe a little.)

I believe it's about time to bump this, because I'm a PC fanboy.

But seriously, Castle Crashers can be phenomenal on a PC. Plus, I only own ONE console: a PS2, that's it. Only 2 of my friends have an Xbox 360, only one of them has Xbox Live.

Long story short: Please, for god's sake, release it to the PC.

If they could port it to the PS3, then something tells me it wouldn't be that hard for them to port it to PC, as well.

You really shouldn't insult anyone when you have no idea how the industry works...at all.

Anyway, this thread started in 08 it seems, shouldn't it be locked now or something? The behemoth are already working on a new game anyway.

I was just going to reply that
THE FUCKING GAME
AFTER 2 YEARS (In fact, 2 years from the PS3 Version, and they use one year and a half to port the 360 version to the PS3 so that is a total of....
ALMOST 4 FUCKING YEARS!!!)
I just buy it from Steam, and IS IN SPANISH!!! (I'm from Argentina so i really love that option)
It's a good port, i guess, i just buy it, but i don't see any problem with it.
Still, maybe have some bugs, but at least i can play online

Sorry for the shity English, i am from Argentina
