lmao. It would be a small flash version with a few stages.

It isn't going to happen. Save up for a 360 or find and make a friend who has it.

I don't want to buy a Xbox 360, and I don't really know anyone who has a 360 :S
Everyone I know has a PC and a few have a PS3.

I really wanna try Castle Crashers, but no one I know even owns the Xbox 360.

a big part about CC is its multiplayer the game probly would not be as fun with out and the real way to play multiplayer is online but you cant chat online on a PC so.....

I REALLY hope this was sarcasm, if not you are a complete retard, lots of computers have these things called "microphones" these let you talk, and they also have these things called "keyboards" that let you type messages, like MSN.

Thank you for defending me.

I don't live in America, and that might be one big reason none of my friends have a xbox. The Xbox isn't very popular in European countries...

i live in england....

only one of my friends has a PS3 and thats out of about 50people

Anyways, a CC port for the PC would be awesome but I don't think anyone at TheBehemoth could really be assed with it at the moment..

Well sorry. It is exclusive for a reason, so people have incentive to buy the companies console. I guess you'll just not get to play it.

Behemoth gets more profit from it when its download only instead of being made into hard discs If I remember right. Which lets them develops better games sooner.

Didn't Tom go to Sony about CC and they said no? I swear I read that somewhere.

You should totally add me on one of my various game accounts:
360 - Malachi117. Steam - Malachi117. PS3/PS4 - NarcolepticCat.

This. A thousand times this.

Putting it on Steam, or especially a retail disc, insures that everybody and their grandmother can put it online. Provided that their grandmother has the right software. Live Arcade games have better copy protection. This would also be a convenient explanation for why the only PC Alien Hominid is the original Flash concept Fulp and Paladin came up with.

And to cover my ass: YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A CAR WOULD YOU?!?!

So what your saying is, that you got completey off topic? makes sense
but castle crasher is probably only on xbox 360 because microsoft offered the behemoth to put it on as an arcade game since alien hominid is already on xboxlive arcade, and the behemoth pobably entered a contract with xbox that wouldnt allow them to put it on any consoles or PCs
if you want castle crashers so bad face reality, buy a 360, or play castle crashing the beard

Not everyone has a 3000 dollar PC that runs Crysis at full settings or, hell, is even is aware of videogames like Castle Crashers.

That is why it is potentially more profitable to release on PC.

The best sales have been on the PC, games like StarCraft, Sims, and WoW have sold much better than most console games.

If you so happen to 'magically' port the game to the PC anyway, sales will become shit, 360-less gmaers, will try to get the PC version, but because they're always fucking broke, they will result to piracy.

I'm not saying people are poor because they don't have a 360, it's just that everyone who complains about CC, always seems to say they don't have any money,

Clearing things up:

AH was on different consoles because it wasn't made specifically for one console. It was made generically to then be ported to different consoles easily.

CC was made for XBLA, which means it is a much harder job to port to another console. Also, the graphics would need to be toned down for use with a PC, since, surprisingly, the grapihcs are quite intense CPU wise.

PC is the LEAST profitable platform, because about 1 in 100 copies are actually bought, the rest are illegally downloaded. Add to that the fact that most people don't use a PC for gaming, then you have a pretty low sum.

It's not coming out for another console. Live with it, grow up and buy a 360.

Song of the Firefly is on Steam Greenlight and Facebook. Give them a look and support the project!

Alright, I understand. The piracy can be quite effectively solved by releasing on Steam, as Steam games are quite hard to get, if not impossible to get.

thats because those games appeal to a MASSIVE userbase. Castle Crashers and Alien Homind only appeal to quite a small number of people in comparison.

also, a steam release is even easier to pirate as all you have to do is upload the zipped .exe file to a torrent site and code a keygen.

this thread shouldn't be continuing. your question has been answered multiple times.

I think people should stop saying 'Buy an XBox 360'
Unless you were planning to anyway, you would have to be stupid to buy a console for ONE game. Oh wait... halo...

Just kidding kids, but seriously no one is going to buy a 360 JUST so they can play Castle Crashers.

I think a PC port would be a good idea, i sure would love to play the game.

Has anyone stopped to think that the XBOX -IS- a PC.... Its produced by microsoft for fucks sake...

You can put PC hard drives in it... It'll run windows and linux.... and it hooks up with windows media edition PC's with no problem...

XBOX = PC

But lets be realistic here

XBOX < PC

I love me some castle crashers and would love to see it ported to the PC (It was coded and made on one anyways)

As for the pirating issue there are plenty of games out there that allow the player to pirate it but they cant play online. Its pretty simple to provide solid multiplayer security. If someone wants to pirate the game... LET EM! They'll only be able to play the single player, JUST LIKE SOMEONE WITHOUT AN XBOX LIVE SUBSCRIPTION.

Blah... Why do I even care... all meh friends have xbox's so there's no shortage of them in my life. Tell you what though.. I'll never... NEVER EVER buy one.

tsk tsk for supporting the microsoft monopoly.

I doubt it. Why would anyone go out of there own way to buy a disc for castle crashers, when you can easily download it from XBLA.
