So by your logic, a Japanese-American wanting to discover his/her family origins is a weeaboo.
Fucking move already.

How wow.
You should move to Mexico and spare Japan the trouble of dealing with you.
You are clearly an idiot or trolling.

So? Big deal.
A MUCH better education
By their standards, not anyone else's.
I doubt most folks want to go to school 6 days a week, anyway.
Plus, statistics aside, that's all hearsay until you've experienced it.
Free health care with no waiting periods.
No, socialized health care is infamous for long waiting periods.
I'd know, I live in Canada.

I would love to visit Japan, but I would never want to move there. Or any other place, I love my home too much.
It saddens me that I may be moving to Indonesia. My dad applied for a job there.

So if you live in a city and want something like food you barely need to walk anywhere and don't need to waste gas.
Also it is sort of cool that their is one vending machine for every 26 people in Tokyo.

Mind if I step in?
So? Big deal.So if you live in a city and want something like food you barely need to walk anywhere and don't need to waste gas.
Well, in the states we have the same thing, but you know instead of fast food we have actual places to eat close by.
Also it is sort of cool that their is one vending machine for every 26 people in Tokyo.
Or, horrifying amount of people in one area.
I like Japan's anime, but that is where the buck stops. Thry are xenophobic bastards(I know, I went there once when I was 10), and everything is just too damn tight. The education system is 6 days a week, thus killing any chance for a social life, and getting into a good college there is even harder than the US of A. Don't be naive about a country, what may be a decent place to visit can be a terrible place to live.
And now, patriotic image to encourage the OP to come back to the land of the free as soon as he can.

You should be happy, I'd love go to Japan, it would probably be really interesting. Sure, learning another language will be hard, but you'll probably learn it a lot faster than expected since you'll be hearing it all of the time. Also, your parents are probably going want to see the rest of Asia, so you'll get to see a bunch of other countries aswell.

You can't just waltz into a country that is 100% different from your own and expect people to greet you with "Hello"s. They all assume that you don't speak Japanese, and they assume that you don't know their culture. They then don't know how to communicate with you, and they find it best to ignore you. I know, I learned from people who went there and people from there

I know nothing of the Japanese culture and I barely know any Japanese so I'm just a little afraid of how I'm going to interact with people and make new friends.
