Politics had absolutely nothing to do with this until you brought it in here.
Uhh... that was the first thing I wrote? I didn't just bring it in here.
That's exactly what you did. This thread was about who is more attractive between two people, not about what country is better.
How are political views going to affect someone's taste in women? Even if what you're alluding to is true, which it isn't, that I'd be inclined to find American-born women more attractive, you're ignorant of the fact that "Anglo-Americans" don't even make up the majority in the US. The US has loads of people from all ethnic groups, whether they immigrated here a few years ago or a few centuries ago.
You not being politically biased towards to United States of America? HA!
No.
1) Since there is nothing political about who is attractive between two people.
2) They are both Americans, so even if I had some tendency to pretend to myself that Americans were hotter, there would be no reason to pick Shawn Johnson over Nastia Liukin.
And US-raised, and a US citizen, and was a member of the US Olympic team. Making your point entirely moot in all regards.
Fair points, but you cannot disregard she is Russian in name, in blood and in birth.
Um, I can... because even if that's true that doesn't make her any less American whatsoever.
She is only an American because a little piece of paper says she is.
Lol, so you think that someone's identity is defined by something as arbitrary as their name (irrelevant), their blood (irrelevant), and the location they were born, more so than where they were raised, how they behave, what country they actually belong to, what country they have allegiance to, what country they choose to live in etc...?
She is American, she probably doesn't even remember anything about Russia. She was raised in the US. If an American met her, they'd probably have no clue she was born in Russia unless she said so.
Um no... that means that you were BORN in Russia. The US is a nation of immigrants, it doesn't matter where people are born or what their heritage is. My dad is an immigrant.
So your country is a dumping ground for the worlds waste? (Like Australia) ?
No, my country is a place where people don't have to share common ancestry and common appearance to share a common identity. The US is a modern country that transcends race, heritage, religion etc...
You are one depressingly shallow person to think that someone is eternally bound by their blood, their name, and where they were physically born.
Waah, waah, someone let the waterworks loose in here.
It's really disturbing how ignorant you are.
I'll give you 15 minutes before you post elsewhere bagging Russia and praising America, even though your girlfriend is Russian-America.
If I start "bagging" Russia, it will have absolutely nothing to do Russians as a whole, but against their government. That means I'd be criticizing Russia for its politics, whereas I have no bias against Russian culture, Russian individuals, the Russian language, their blood... whatever. And even if I did have a bias against Russia, it couldn't possibly carry over to my opinion of Nastia Liukin because she is an American.
