It actually started out as a novel i've read in my Japanese history class, called Toki o Kakeru Shojo, and has been redone so many times in book and movie form it's now a popular little story a lot of people over in Japan know. I have yet to see the animated film you posted though, guess i'll get to it soon :D

I've heard the name before but have never seen it, just learned it's apparently based on the 1965 book and it's had a handful of live-action adaptions.

Curious to know if the film is good, might check it myself sometime, sounds interesting.

some say its a chick flick but i don't think so it just plays on ur emotions a little. but the movie was great. i think it might be the best movie i have ever seen.

It's not like it's a romantic comedy or anything, besides I can live with it if it isn't some hot blooded anime manly kind of stuff.

The name sounds familiar for some reason, even though I know nothing about it. The name seems pretty long winded, but I guess people can only think up of so many names for movies.

I just finished watching, I'm dead serious when I say this. Work of art This movie is just so awesome, it isn't cheesy and it isn't over the top in the WTF factor.

However one thing that bugs me is how stupid Makoto (main character) is, I won't spoil too much but by the end of the movie you will be yelling at your screen at how stupidly she uses her power.

Also, I know what the title says, I know what the summery says, but it took me 2 minutes to figure out she was a girl. I'm not making this up.

Overall, stop reading this post and go watch that movie! It's right there, you'd be missing out if you don't at least take a peak at it.
