Drunken sex doesn't seem logical

A while after watching Superbad, it dawned upon me that getting drunk with someone and getting sexed up while drunk doesn't seem to put two and two together in order to brag about lost virginity

People say they don't 'remember anything last night' after waking up from a large hangover. 'Anything' meaning 'anything at all', which can also include the sex.

So what is it about getting drunk in order to have 'ethical' sex that I'm missing?

But if you can't remember anything, it's as good as not having done it at all. Plus, you have all the nasty side effects: pregnancy risk, STD risk, rumors, etc. So sex unter the influence equals suffering without compensation.

Interestingly enough, in cultures where people don't have a preconceived notion that alcohol lowers inhibitions, this effect doesn't occur.

Ethical? Who said anything about ethics? People have drunk sex because getting drunk makes you lose your inhibitions and leads you to do things you'd normally think twice before engaging in.

I prefer to be sober when I have sex, if its with someone I have feelings for anyway. Drunken sex is sometimes sloppy and crap. But I guess it depends who its with, sometimes it can be more fun. But sober sex is the best, at least is easy to remember it.

So what does remembering sex do for a person anyways. Aside from learning what part of the lover makes you or them juice quicker, there isn't much there after the fact to hold ones attention. Seems like an ego thing to me, having to know you had sex instead of just enjoying it.
