my drawing

well i started just drawing some wings and i ended up with a head. this is just the firt pic for now but am gona do some more soon hopefully
the right wing on this was just for experimentin and its gona be changed to the same as the left one but any thoughts on how to improve it please , also the hair was new to me so i tried my best on it.

oh and another thing.. any ideas on how to finish it off?

Wow thats great but...
here is how you can imporve:

The left wing is great! You could try tracing it multiple of times and make differant patterns then pick your favourite.

The hair: Ok this can easily be fixed, just losen up those lines a lil and make them a tad longer.

With the hair, you're better off to start off with a solid block of light grey then put darker strands as you go along and in the end add some highligts and shading where needed. When working by hand the highlights would be made with a narrow eraser.

It's a lot less work and a lot quicker.

left wing looks good and the hair is pretty awesome how long did that take ya?

not long.. around 10 mins to get the shape of everything then around 30 to do hair and shading etc.

new one i'm working on... at the moment theres alot of rubbing out that needs doing but i'm gona finish off the wings first then do it.

please tell me what i can improve etc. with this one

Not too bad. It is pretty good for a sketch. i like the left wing better than the right, the hair is okay but i wouldn't have done the locks the way you did (difference in opinion). i would have went with the stroke lines and some locks the way you did it. you going to put up anything else?

I like this one too. when you draw the left wing. because the angel is not centered on the page, don't draw it fully open and hanging off the page. see what it would look like if you drew it partially open so the whole image will be within the confines of the paper.

Yes like that. How do you like it? It makes the picture look better than it would have if the wing was sprawled off the edge of the page, don't you think?
