Seven ages of rock: The Collab

Yea, that's right, after the big success of 'The Pirate Collab' (Daily 2nd, Front Page and NG Collab Collection) I'm back with a new collab, Seven ages of rock! :3

So now you're wondering, Seven ages of rock, what can I animate about that.
Well, this collab only has 8 parts, an intro and the 7 'ages' of rock.

This is how it works, I'll explain it with a menu:

Intro: a small intro that gives a fast view over the 7 ages of rock.
Part 1: 'The Rock Revolution' 1963-1970:
Part 2: 'The Experimental Rock' 1966-1980:
Part 3: 'The Birth of Punk' 1973-1980:
Part 4: 'The Loudest Rock Genre, Heavy Metal' 1970-1991
Part 5: 'The Stadium Rock' 1965-1993
Part 6: 'Alternative Rock' 1980-1994
Part 7: 'The story of the British indie' 1980-2007

So, as you can see, every part has his own 'theme'.

This collab is very much inspired by the TV programme 'Seven Ages Of Rock' by the BBC. That's why I think this site could help you very much in the progress of your part:

You animate a part inspired to the artist of that rock period like for example, Part 6, The alternative rock, here you can animate something about the great band Nirvana or the other great band Pearl Jam.

What can you, for example, animate about these guys? Well, go to 'Google' and search some information about them, you could animate them playing a little fragment of a great hit of them while showing some of the ideals of there rock style. Well, Pearl Jam and Nirvana are grunge, grunge is about being bored, drugs and sadness, animate that with some of their music in the BG! :D

--Specs-

550x400 pixels
24FPS
White BG Colour (But you can make your own BG on a layer.)

--Rules-

No stickman
No porn (Erotic scenes are allowed, it's about rock so ;D)
No sprites (Only if they are very good.)
HAVE FUN!

--Music and Sounds-

First of all, THIS ISN'T A NORMAL MUSIC COLLAB! This is something different, this collab has meaning, this is about the history of rock, not only of the history of 'rock music'! You'll need music of course but I want this collab to have more than only a band playing some music.
But if you want to use a song fragment, please cut the song in parts and ONLY import the part of the song you want to use and not the WHOLE song. :)
Sounds and voice acting are allowed.

--Joining-

Only join this collab if you know you have a lot of talent! Also, don't just say 'I have a lot of talent, can I join?'. No, if you think you have a lot of talent, show it to us with a small preview of your work so we can see what you've done before. (: There will also some people invited to this collab by PM.

--Coauthoring-

What a surprise, there are only 8 parts so EVERYONE gets Coauthoring who made a part. (:

--Anything else?--

VERY IMPORTANT!

This collab is about rock, rock is about revolution, about experiments, about doing something new. That's why I prefer some new style of animating, there are 7 parts, how more different animating styles how better! (: The best example of a good animation style is the animation style of Morrowdays, he has his own style of animating, that's where I'm searching for! ;D

I'll check everyone's profile for his Flash. If you don't have any Flash, I'll message you to ask for more details (have you got any experience with Flash, if so, show us! :D)

Also, if you join this collab, make sure you'll finish your part and don't just say 'I don't have time, I'll stop' after 2 months.

You could also just go to this site (http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/sevenages/) and choose one yourself, every part has his own text so there are enough part to choose of! :D

The sounds like a very interesting idea. I watched the seven ages of rock and I'm a very big fan of the genre so I'd be interested in joining. If was to do anything I'd like to do the Heavy Metal age. I'd like to do Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath or Metallica.

You're style isn't as awesome as Morrows one but you still rock, I just love that kind of animating and I always wonder how it's possible to make something that good and beautiful. (:

Indie rock is an English music style, Oasis is the biggest indie band but if you google for it you'll find a lot of information about it! ;D

I do love rock, but on the other hand I'm kinda busy and I don't really like animating with such a high FPS (found that out with the level collab). Let me give it some thought, see how things progress with the level collab.

That part 4 slot is really tempting me.

if you normally work with 12 FPS then just use 2 frames for one frame instead of 1 frame for 1 frame. ;D I hope you get what I mean.
