It's not a fatal issue, but I'm trying to figure out what it is.

I have a 4-cylinder 1.6L engine, and whenever I let off the accelerator, I hear a metallic rattling. I'm wondering if something is loose in the valve system, or if maybe one of the cams is somehow hitting the cylinder head.

Any input?

If anything, NGers know how to steal cars (and know quite a bit about computers), and not that much about whats actually wrong with the car

What kind of Rattle is it? Is it a constant rattling,or does it only rattle when you push it thru it's paces. I.E. When you rev it up, Or go up hill. I guess it would be kind of hard to strain a motor like that. But try your best to strain it. Does it get louder? Or does it stop completly or does it only do it when your straining it.

If it only does it when your revving it, Something might have come loose. Or you need to oil it up a bit on areas that you can reach where metal contacts metal. But if it always does it, Something came loose. and might cause problems. Of course this is my un proffesional opinion.

How did this get here? I am not good with internet.

It only lasts for a second, and it's like a descending hiss almost, but you can tell it's metal clanking on metal.

Did this happen to you before, or are you just making a guess?

I'm just gonna take the whole engine apart for fun. It's so small I could probably pull it out myself xD
