Sometimes when the site is being updated, performance slows. Then again, it could be something to do with your ISP.

In reality, there are a million and one reasons why NG could be randomly running slowly for you. When major site maintenance is being performed, there is usually an announcement so users know they can expect delays.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If the problems persists, feel free to contact a site admin, or post in the Where Is / How To? Forum.
