Hi Newgrounds, long time lurker, first time poster.
I found this competition that could intrest a lot of users here. It has been set up by E4, a TV channel broadcast in the UK that I'm sure most users in the UK will have heard of. It is calling all Flash developers to submit their games to be voted on by their judges. The top candidates will be shortlisted and voted on by the public, and the winner will be presented with a Golden Joystick at the 26th annual awards! Not only that but you'll also be able to win £5000, or a £5000 commission to work with E4, which would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to make Flash Development into a career.
You can find the full details of the competition here: http://www.e4.com/joystick/
Unfortunately one of the conditions outlined in the 'How To Enter' page says: "Entrants must be over 16 yrs and a resident in the UK." Which eliminates most of the NG userbase, heh. However in the FAQ, it says that the competition is not limited to UK citizens, so there is still hope for Newgrounders in the USA and the rest of the world. No hope for the 13 year old though, haha.
All entries must be submitted by 10AM GMT+1 on Monday 15th September 2008. Good Luck to all who decide to enter!
