Since Newgrounds is not your average community, I thought I'd see how Newgrounds swore..

I tend to use it as sparingly as possible..I believe that the less you swear, the more impact it makes when you do actually swear..I think it works..

So, Newgrounds, how do you swear?

I swear way too much. It's become such a bad habit. When I'm around my friends, or just people who I know I'm able to swear around, I'll do it constantly.

I've tried to stop, but it just doesn't work. I can't go for more than an hour without saying 'fuck' or 'shit' or 'cock'. I really need help.

I frequently swear although over the last year or so I have reduced it dramatically. Normally either on my own or in conversation with good friends. I try not to swear in formal situations or in front of my family or people I have just met.

I try to avoid swearing that much, I tend to only use it to emphasize something or to make a point.

Also, I know it's temping, but don't bother posting with a whole string of swear words, or I'll just have to start banning people again.

Except on the internet. There's not as much need to use it sparingly on the internet. Internet is for hatred so you can appear nice in real life. Venting anger at people you'll never see in your life > Venting anger at people you will see tomorrow.

It depends. I usually use it when I'm too hyper, otherwise I just use really obvious references to swears.

Swearing to excess basically just makes you seem like a moron who doesn't know many other words. Use it sparingly, so that in the instance that you do use it, it has more of an impact. Also, if you swear too much, try to learn some new words, perhaps. Cursing only gets you so far.

Growing up in a town filled with swearing, I found myself doing it more and more until like you said, it's almost every other word. Not so much when posting on forums, but in real life everythings a fucking this or a fucking that. Things are shit and people are cunts, etc. If I think about not swearing, I can do it no problem. If I just talk as per usual, I'll find the swears frequently coming out.

I use fuck alot, in all the many different ways that it can be used fluently. I find it really gets the point across of how serious something is, or can be if you make it. Just stress it enough, right volume, right tone, and bam! You know right away how fucking serious im making this shit out to be. Or something
