Vagrants Affilates? do they exist?

ive noticed the Vagrant and Site Affliate icons at the bottom of the forum and realized..that ive NEVER seen either of those things on the forum...
are there people out there who have been tagged with 1 of those 2 things??

I remember after the redesign there were a lot of vagrants. Until about September I think. As for affiliates, I have seen one log in from time to time. Galadrial-Gamer or something like that. I just remember seeing his "blurb" thing saying something like "HEY GUYS I THINK ILL JOIN U SEEM COOL" or something like that. *shrugs*

I don't think you'll ever see vagrants again. Before we had user pages we had pop-up profiles. But the people who didn't make a profile was labeled a "vagrant" and their user name appeared in grey when they would browse the BBS.shak3s was a vagrant since 2002 but when we got our user pages he lost his "vagrancy" along with other people who didn't make profiles. Also affiliates drop by every once in a while but they rarely post. Hope that answers your questions.

I rarely see one nowadays, and I don't really know which people are considered vagrants.

No they were people who didn't make their profiles. Before we had user pages we had a choice of whether or not to make a profile. If they didn't then they'd show up as "vagrants" when they browsed the BBS. We no longer have that option and making a profile is mandatory so vagrants are obsolete.

A affilate is someone like Glaiel-gamer or the super flash bros.

Sorry for possible double post, but I just noticed your reply.

I count a Grounds Gold account as the 'profile' you speak of, since even though I'm a '07, I recall that if you didn't have a 'profile' respectively GG account, you couldn't pile up experience, B/P points and so on.

As you'd say today, you theoretically didn't have a userpage.

As you'd say today, you theoretically didn't have a userpage.

You could still pile up experience and B/P points and be a vagrant but people wouldn't be able to see how much B/P points you had since vagrants had no profiles. This is what profiles used to look like back in the day, they used to be java pop-ups and the only way you could view them is if you clicked on someone's user name, you couldn't manually type in their userpage like you can now.

Affiliate is a somewhat popular animator who contributed a lot back in the day. Jeremy Lokken, Legendary Frog, and Super Flash Bros. are some of the affiliates I know of. Affiliates don't have any mod powers but I do believe they couldn't be banned by moderators. Also before we had the ability to post on the front page, only affiliates could do that. And about vagrants, I explained that in my above posts.

i've seen RiftMaster on once and a while hes an affiliate, no vagrents tho
