Why is that everywhere I see, it always looks like Democrats are only made up of Teens, and Senior Citizens?

Well, I guess it really depends on what part of the US you're looking at, geographically. My hometown is in the suburbs of New York City, and almost everyone there is left wing- people of all ages. Right now, I'm at college, and the student body is probably about 60% - 70% liberal, and we aren't all "teens."

well I used to complain about why everyone is a liberal for no matter what internet community site I visited.
it was real irritating. everywhere I went there was republican bashing such as, "bush was more of a threat than osama bin laden".
i'm guessing the age range for liberals are 16-25.

Democrats are tall, tan, masculine and with a very powerful persona. They never stutter, they say all the right things to get their votes. This is all they are,
Republicans are generally more nicer and down to earth. Republicans are over-weight and jolly. They care about the problems of the people, not about themselves.
If you take these two types of people and stand them up together next to each other, who do you think would vote for the democrat? Answer: People who dont look deeply enough into the true problems and vote soley on how they speak or look

my point i know plenty of people that look like demacrats from the-mage's statement that were diehard republicans i also know plenty of people that fit his discripiton of republicans that were demacrats and they were all in there teens.
i think that he needs something to gripe about and this was the best thing his feeble mind could come up with on such short notice.

They dont have Party Dress Codes. They're just people who think things. Unless you can read minds, you can't tell.
I'll make a generalisation here though. In my country, Tories tend to be older, whilst the Liberals have a large Teenage base. I'm a member :D

Oh dear, dear, dear. It took me about 10 minutes to stop laughing so that I could put something here. Oh, god, here it comes again. Seriously, I find this absolutely hilarious. Woo-hoo, that was a good laugh. I think I'll go hang around at the teen runaway shelter/old folks home so I can be around people like myself.

this is the most hilarious comparison i have ever heard in my life, yes i am sure all democrats base who they vote for on physical appearance, ALL DEMOCRATS HATE FAT PEOPLE! FAT PEOPLE SHOULD DIE! and santa clause should die! because he is fat and jolly! like a republican! santa clause must be a republican! he is trying to sway votes for republicans by giving out presents!
its a conspiracy! lol we democrats are so masculine with our tans and powerful personas FEAR US you nice republicans! ROAR!
i really hope this is not what you base your voting on, i can't even think of anything to compare this to, it sounds like a miss america pageant, and you are saying republicans are miss congeniality...

That reminds me of something I saw in a book called Running. It told joggers to beware of overweight people who may be angry at their physical fitness and attempt to run them over. MWAHA.

"Republicans are generally more nicer and down to earth. Republicans are over-weight and jolly. They care about the problems of the people, not about themselves."
and i thought nothing could make me laugh more than the first post in this thread. well, that post was it.
if we're going to stereotype groups here, republicans care about the problems of rich white christians. they don't care about civil liberties and are more concerned about tradition than the welfare of the world. they'd rather have the people of a third world country starve than pay any more money than they can spend without noticing it's gone. they'd rather not be taxed, cause they're too greedy to give up anything for the greater good. they ramble on and on about patriotism without really knowing what patriotism is. they discriminate constantly, don't think more than 10 minutes into the future, and activelly destroy the environment. they wage war on any country they don't like, then blame the evil faceless terrorists when something goes wrong. they violate civil rights whenever they can.
of course, that's only if we're stereotyping every republican as part of that group.

I generally find that democrats are utopianists, and republicans are realists. Democrats want to find a new and perfect way to run things. Republicans just don't want our current prosperity to deteriorate (hence "conservatives"). Young people are idealistic. They haven't been disillusioned and jaded by the unfeeling world we live in. They believe that there are a LOT of things wrong with our system, and that people can be much happier than they are now. This lends itself well to pipe dreams of utopianism. However, once a person gets some life experience, that person begins to realize that contentment and stability are all we can really ask for in life. Doctors and lawyers, the most "successful" people in our society, have the highest suicide rates. Republicans realize that it's the fighting of corruption that gives us stability. The government can't make everyone like each other. All it can do is level the playing field.
Frankly, I find the democratic view will ultimately be more oppressive, because it defines happiness for the people, and then crams it down their throats. The republican theology is much more conducive to the happiness of the most people. I realize that individuals of both parties can be inept, as politician is a position for someone with a rich daddy who is too lazy to get a real job. Both sides err in believing more government is the solution to our problems.
In summation, partisan politics and over government are leading to the decay of our society. Democrats don't see the problem, and Republicans are afraid that fixing it will decrease their own power, and lead to the downfall of their party. My suggestion? Vote reform, and only vote for third party candidates.
