Playing "cheap" has the negative drawback of bringing attention to yourself, which makes the other players want your blood. If you're talking about 1vs.1 matches, then get over it - they found a way to attack you without getting attacked. I call it cheap because it's actually a good strategy; playing defensively.

I understand how vexxing it can be, playing a Falco, Pikachu, or a Pit or someone else that's great at spamming and fleeing, but don't get your panties in a wad: play as Game & Watch, or Lucas, or Fox, or someone that can easily punish projectile spamming.

Bad News guys, I Played the Origonal Poster again today, and beat him with olimar, he proceeded and Killed himself, this was all that was left.

I dont like that Kirby trick, where the player stands in the corner, sucks you up, then falls off the ledge and spits you out, you die, and the player just flies back up. The thing that makes me mad is not cause of the trick, its because I fail to get out of it when I know I can!

Spammers are great,because they take a step out of the process,normally it takes a lot of skill to predict what the enemy will do next,but spammers just do the same move,if some guy likes to spam lucario's b attack,then the best strategy would be to pick a character that has great aerial movements,then when he's spamming his attacks,go in the air and attack him from above.

What makes you d00ds think that competitive play is not fun for anyone? I always had a blast with competitive Melee, and competitive Brawl is still pretty fun. Only reason why I would get frustrated is the shitty online.

actually you should be saying that about Melee cuz that one sucked. Brawl was the best game in the Smash Bros. Series.

People played Melee for 7 years straight and stopped only because the new game came out, and most people stopped Brawl for about 4 months.

You know what you're right. More characters, more stages, and more 'features' and less clones automakes it better.

yeah see, someones on my side. I've played Brawl more than Melee and I prefer Brawl. the other cool part about Brawl was how you could pick your own music for the Battle Stages.

I was so pissed at the lack of bonuses after battle in Brawl.
But if you have problems with a spammer, it's easy to stop them, although you often need to use a spam character to do it (like use Pit's shield or Fox's deflector). Or use Mario's cape attack (much better than FLUDD, period) or ness or lucas's energy absorb and heal, or Game and Watch's bucket (?) or whatever.
Also, it's easily possible to catch an item thrown at you and toss them right back.
My point is, there's a counter-tactic for every tactic in the game. You just have to look for it.
Also, the shield and dodges are incredibly useful. Spammers often become easily dealt with if you dodge even one attack.

Brawl/Melee community is the worst.
