ummm its Texas I've never met a Texan that didn't own several guns let alone not know how to use them. I had an English teacher from Texas who kept several guns in a lock box in his truck I would think other teachers form Texas would do the same, more likely just have them on a gun rack since it's legal there. Anyhow, I think it's a horrible idea simply because about 90% of the teachers I have personally had were complete and utter morons who should not even be allowed to look at guns. Not that I've been to the best schools in the world but still.

Yes school here has gotten a lot more calmer, well I live in Texas, but the school at my town isnt bad, but its probably like in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, I really dont know, I live in Texas but not in major cities.

it sort of makes sense. when a school shooting opens up and the guy's about to pop 30 kids, bam, 29 less casualties.

Anyways i heard about this on my local news station a while back, and it's only for one city that was allowed to carry guns, something about city ordinance, even though city ordinance doesn't override state and federal law.
