It's a fun game, yeah, but it's really not something you should be putting over things like education. In the future, the parents are probably going to be thinking it wasn't something of a good reason worth home-schooling.

Those parents deserve to be shot. Actually, no, the kid should be taken from their possession and than the parents tortured for the rest of their lives. Why would they deprive this kid of an education? For a fucking video game?

It would be funny if as soon as he dropped out he got bored of Guitar Hero. xD

Its stuff like this that makes me not want to have kids so I dont have to contribute to ever increasing amount of idiots in the world.

thats really stupid. you cant go pro in guitar hero. of course you can get into tournaments every now and then and win some money, but nothing major, nothing you can live off of. the only way to get a lot of money for playing a game is MLG, they get payed something like $20,000 if they win, but it think thats a team of four that has to split it. MLG doesnt have guitar hero though, and they probably wont. its not a competitive enough of a game for that.

for a start how the hell can you make a career from gaming?!
you'd have to tour the world and win 1st in every competition to make a living out of it

you can't even make a proper career out of REAL music,
unless you're really famous, musician is just a hobby that earns you a little extra money

and his parents letting him throw away his education so he can sit on his lazy ass and play games all day is just sad

hopefully one day the kid will get carpal tunnel and won't be able to add to his already non-existent income, and his parents will throw him out and leave him on the streets to die
