Here's Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist. If you've never watched Fullmetal Alchemist then you'd better look out for a crazy guy who might kill you in your sleep for not doing so.
I tried to colour this one and I think it turned out pretty good. The only thing I can see that I screwed up on is the eyes. Ed's got a bigger forehead than that...

The colors work, but you are right, the eyes are kinda screwed.
But that mechanical arm looks good, and overall it is a good piece!

Your work is very good.

Of couse it can always be much better. One thing i will say is work on your size of area so that everything is in size with everything else. Thats like the only thing i can really think of to help ya out.

I like it good job man but yeah his eyes are messed up but your colouring is really good I like it at lest XD and keep working your gonna get allot better after pre-animation XD

I think the way youve shaded his clothes looks pretty nice. Good colors too. You just need to rearrange his face including its outline.

Thanks man. A lot of people like the arm as well (including myself but I don't think my vote counts XD) I'm not done with this yet so maybe I'll redo it with more features BD Hehehe...

Well I decided to post a school project this time. Our Life Drawing teacher put a skull in front of us and told us to draw it without shading. So, with what we've learned so far, we did!
This took about three 2 hour classes to finish. I think mine turned out alright. :P
Next week we're drawing a whole skeleton so that'll be fun. (I think...)

Well, I was rummaging through my old shit, and came across this bad boy! Now for those who aren't familiar with Silent Hill they may not understand how this works just by looking at it.

Silent Hill is a cursed town (whole other story) but certain individuals who enter have their fears (or other people's fears) created before their eyes in some sort of physical shape. I thought that was ingeniously clever and decided to make my own Silent Hill monstrosity!

I call it a Shackled Con...and here's it's representations:

- Represents protagonist's fear of consequence.
- Ball and chain represent punishment.
- Mouth (top of torso) represents severe punishment (beheaded if you will) and anger.
- Pointed legs show significant struggle and hindrance.
- Contains traits of a prisoner including the torn clothes and bony appearance.
- Attacks from a distance; spins balls around and launches toward victim.
- Tangles or trips victims with chains when reasonably close.
- Its bite is its most lethal attack after tangling victim.

I love Silent Hill..! :D

Well fine here's something I managed to get done for an unofficial contest that ScorpianX0 held on DA. I won't go super in depth with this like I did on DA but I'll just say to listen to Lead Us Home by Demon Hunter while looking at it and tell me if it fits. :P

i have to agree with you the hands are messed up but hey I'm not good at them ether but also his body seems very thin .too thin anyways still have to say good picture lots of detail good job

Hands were my enemy. Then became my friend but after drawing this they're my enemy again...
I have to learn though, these classes have helped me out so far! :D

This came out great I really like how you did the coat folds and creases. how you did a mish mash of Cross hatching and scribbling to make for some shades for some of the details... I know what you mean hands are quite difficult to draw for a while especially if your trying to draw them different angles but are you taking life drawing or some sort of anatomy class or self teaching by books?

Okay here's the scoop:
I'm taking General Arts and Science - Pre-Animation and Illustration at Algonquin College. It's basically a 1 year course to help you prepare a portfolio for the 3 year Animation course.
I've learned a shitload of useful things taking this course but it really all comes down to me drawing it. Hands and feet have always been the two things I would look forward to least when drawing but after learning a couple of tricks and tips in class, I love to draw them! :) I still need practice though.
And I'm glad you liked how that one turned out. It was done rather quicklybut I liked it. And I have no clue about the anatomy behind wings, so I just slap them together and hope for the best! XD

Well this is certainly interesting.

Coloring pencils? Looking pretty cool.

Although, her knees are quite... not on the same level in consistency. Cause it seems like shes taking a step forward with her left leg, and that knee isnt quite getting along with the other knee in terms of perspective. In short, you need to adjust her knee caps. Also her arms are a bit long. Try picturing her elbow point reaching to the end of her ribcase before you draw the rest of her arm. Even though youve succeeded in doing that with her left arm, the other half part of her arm is still too long.

And i gotta say, thats some really awesome shading youve done there :) I can really see the depths here. Keep it up.

I will agree that proportion and anatomy are my weakness when it comes to drawing, but I do believe I'm getting better. Thanks for the crits, I will be sure to consider this if I happen to make another. :P

-_- Uhh...sorry. It's just that I first drew Renamon as an ArtRap entry on ScorpianX0's style, so that's why I mentioned him when saying I drew another one. It was that particular artist's works that lead to this pic right here. I realize there's others, don't worry ;)

POKEBALL lol so random lol anyways I like the colouring in the photo it's really well done but yeah just like others have been saying the anatomy is a little messed up but still good job
