I was making this joke that Obama won over Hillary, is that maybe America doesnt want a woman president! When 2012 comes, where the Mayans (I think) predicted that we'd all die 12/12/12 <(?)
maybe its not cause of a giant meteorite, or chemical blast, or Armageddon, maybe we all will die cause we had a woman president to run our country! XD

If in 2012, Americans choose a hard-line evangelical Republican as a president and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Iran has successfully built nuclear weapons, then we might indeed be very close to the end of civilization. (It will wait until the new president's inauguration in 2013, though.)

There are still Mayan priests around today and they don't even believe that the world will end. There are also dates in Mayan scriptures that date far beyond the 2012 doomsday. The notion of the end of the world is some crap made up for profit. And yes I know that this is obvious to SOME.

To tell you the truth, I really dont believe in any theorys like a set time of Armageddon until it happens!
If I see a nuclear bomb heading right for my town or a giant meteor heading for the Earth, then I'll believe it! ^_^

actually i think it was the Aztecs and i heard they made calenders all the way until sometime in December 2012. they just stopped on that day. and the bible (or some type of religiouse book)(i forget which one) said that on that date that a dark skinned ruler would try to bring the world to peace but end up bringing it to ruins.
