Typically, I wouldnt care so much about my parents and siblings spending a riduculous amount of money on movies they will only watch 1 or 2 times.....

However, it finally clicked in how bad my family has stooped in terms of movie watching.....

They...they bought Meet the Spartans.....and they dont think Ironman or the new batman movie were as good.....

My reaction? Something along the lines of JESUS FUCKING CHRIST to WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?

I am pretty sure that we all have had our experiences with the producers that made Scary Movie and whatnot, whether they be bad or horrible.......but seriously, I quote this conversation between me and my sister.....(no you may not)

Me: "Hey sis! check out this movie! its called Vantage Point! Supposed to be about a conspiracy in the government, and how the president gets shot, and there are only 5 places where he coul-"

Her: "The cover looks weird..."

Me: "huh?"

Her: "yea, it looks stupid, check out this movie!" (holds up Superhero Movie) "This looks good...."

Me: "....."

And yes, my sister is one of those fans who watches Step it up, and many, MANY disney movies.....

I am going to go shoot some people in COD4 now.....to waste my anger on SOMETHING

If I could name one person I respect.........it probably would be me. oh and the guy who lives here

Thankfully in my house, I'm the one with the DVD collection, so if someone watches a film on DVD (which is rare, my family aren't big on films, just me) it's one I've bought, so it's going to be at least decent.

Mind, it usually ends up being one of the just alright films like 300 or something of that nature rather than one which is actually good.

What the FUCK is wrong with your family?! Simply thinking that Meet the Spartans was funny is one thing, but NOT thinking that Iron Man or Dark Knight were good is worse 20 fold.

My family tend to watch whatever's on TV. When it comes to films they're not interested in seeing anything unique or interesting, they just watch the same crap over and over again.

Ahem.

You seem to have quite the holier than thou attitude when it comes to movies, I mean if you know what your sister is like, why would you even try to bring up a movie that you KNOW wouldn't interest her? I don't really like either types of movies, so I am speaking from the middle here; just seriously let it go. I mean ultimately, who cares?

my mom must have watched blades of glory 20 times.

its actually a preaty good movie.

my dad also watched heavy metal when he was younger, he also loves monty python and blazing saddles, oh, and spaceballs.

i'm preaty sure they both hate movies like meet the spartans and date movie.

also, superhero movie is made by david zucker, who had nothing to do with any movies ranging from date movie to disaster movie.

Maybe I am being a little hotheaded, but when you prefer parodies over actual movies, that is just....I dont know, it seems off....

I'd pick Hot Shots Part Deux over most serious films. I'd look down on anyone who wouldn't.

You should bring it back when they leave the room.

Or make a thread about it on Newgrounds.

If it didn't have Leslie Nielsen in it, it would have, without a doubt, sucked total ass.

Anyways, yeah, I agree. Sometimes people will question why I don't laugh at lame shit like previews/commercials for stuff like Disaster Movie. Which my usual answer is "...Because it's not funny you dumbass..."

Why is it that a man can't hold another man's scrotum in the palm of his hand (as an act of friendship) without risking being called a member of the homosexual community?
