Theres supposed to be one coming close sooner then 2026, but will probably miss.

Guess what, nothing happened.
Guess what, nothing will happen.
You're gonna look quite the fool when we all get struck by a gigantic meteor.
What? It could happen!!

What if someone took a big dump. And i mean a BIIIIIG dump. and it clogged the sewer and it mixed wih everyone elses crap and it became alive then started eating all the rats in the sewer. Slowly getting bigger and bigger then emerged from the ground and started taking over the world. and we couldnt shoot it because its shit it would go straight through it.
It could happen.

I went to the future and took a picture, here's what the earth will really look like in 2026:
NO this is what earth will look like in 2026!
If I would have believed Jehova's witnesses, I would have been long dead since the world was going to end in 1992, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2006 and 2007. It didn't.
If I would have to believe those guru-new age-back to nature/weed smokers/hippies/doom thinkers/maya calendars/etc. we will die in 2012, so we won't even notice what will happen in 2026.
If I would have to believe everything others have said me the past couple of years, I would have propably been poor, strippen from all my cash and belongings and shaved bald, sitting in orange clothes praising some sort of unpronouncable god I think I should believe.
So I won't. I'll use my common sense. Like I always do.
Fits me believing in reiki, but as far as I told before, I'm not into luring others to believe it or take away their cash, I just believe in it without having to act like others have to believe me.
That common sense AND critical thinking AND respect in one.
Nice theory though, but I'll just wait and see. Not like we can do anything about it anyway (or maybe we can when 2026 comes closer)

but what did they say about the millenium bug that will crash all computers! and bird flu is bollocks
Well, even if it does happen (which it won't), it's better than dying in our sleep or something completely boring like that.
As of October 19, 2006, the impact probability for April 13, 2036, was calculated as 1 in 45,000. An additional impact date in 2037 was also identified; the impact probability for that encounter was calculated as 1 in 12.3 million.
You gonna believe those odds?

It's not going to hit. NASA refined it's estimates in 2006, so the chances are next to none.

It always rains in Africa. There's a whole region of fertile land in the center of the continent.

Even if it did hit, it wouldn't affect all of the world. Just the West coast of North America and possibly the East coast of Asia.
