I'm getting ready to do some green screen work and I'll end up mixing it with Flash and some other programs to make a kind of "virtual" classroom. But I'm worrying about the background,I don't know if a simple background that would work on a website without an actor will work here, I'm thinking it'll look kinda "flat" . Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm trying a couple of things but not really sure which way to go. Here some examples:

This would be the normal radial gradient background, the button and text have reflections which help the "3D" look a bit , but I don't really know how to intergrate it with the actor footage

Here is something that I came across that I thought had more depth but again I'm no expert:

See how he has the different colors which form a line around the middle background?Almost like a room, where the floor meet the wall.

Or here, I kinda like this, scroll down to the "Hello New Website" entry

The buttons in the main menu have an After Effects created FLV file for the animation. The start menu button is a simple mix of masks, blur and glow filters
