It is important to note that many of these songs have won because of their basic ability to invoke emotions. There were many songs of great complexity that held difficult harmonies but these songs were more about the expression them about the emotion. Proving that it is not how much you know, but how well you know it.
At least in this particular case.
I apologize for the delayed postings, I was aiming to get this up by the morning, but due to a much higher judge results turn out, all of which conflicted with one another, it was difficult to gauge what each judge's criteria were for their selections. For this reason I had to listen through each nomination twice *After going through the list myself*, and believe I have found the balance which each judge held in common.
