The Music Video Collab 2

Hey, and welcome to The Music Video Collab 2, the sequel to The Music Video Collab, which now has a score of 4.09. In this collab, you are supposed to make a part of a Music Video. You can choose any songs you want, and then make an animation which lasts about 5-20 seconds. Pick whatever song you like. The animation doesn't have to start from the beginning of the song. It could e.g. start when the refrain starts, but you are of course allowed to make it start from the beginning.

The menu are temporarily going to include those buttons: Play, Scene Selections, Author/BIOs.

Template:
24 fps.
Stage Size: 550x400 pixels (default).
Background Color: White (default, make your own).

Rules:
- No sprites
- No exessive nudity
- Sticks?... Only if it's good, and the content is good.

Read the top paragraph for content.

Other:
I will make the menu and the credits, but tell me if you have some nice ideas for the menu and/or the credits.

It would be nice if you post a preview of your parts here (upload at e.g. www.swfup.com), so that we can give you feedback.

If your part isn't good enough, it isn't good enough.

Important:
If you've got Flash CS3, you have to export the .fla in Flash Pro 8 format, cause I've got Flash Pro 8.
To join, just say "I'll join" in the forum, or something, and you're in, temporarily (It depends on how your part is ) ;)

Put effort into your part, the 9 best parts will be co-authored!

The deadline isn't decided yet.

I might consider joining this, but how do you cut up a song into different parts. Like, I only want to get a certain part of a song.

Just about any audio editor will do.. I think you can do it in Audacity, which is free

And a question for the host of the collab; you don't mind me doing a (death) metal song do you? You said anything goes (its not that bad, you can still understand the singer more or less

also, you said 5-20 seconds, mind if mine is a little longer? 22 or 23 seconds maybe? Or should I not bother?

yes... use audacity... its brilliant...
just import the MP3 into audacity and break it up... its what i always do..

i think your aloud to use any song style you want... i dont think there area ny acceptions...

i still cant find a song however!!!

Okay thanks. I'll try it out tomorrow, and I might join, I gotta think of an idea first though.
