Shit, when I went and saw Dark Knight, I also saw the trailer for Watchmen. It looked interesting, and I've always wondered what that book with the odd smiley face was in the bookstore. So I bought it, and I must say, it's the one of the BEST WORKS OF FICTION I HAVE EVER READ.

If you like graphic novels, read it.

If you like superheroes, read it.

If you think comic books are for idiots, read it.

You will not regret it.

The movie looks promising, obviously it won´t be as great as the graphic novel.
Besides is directed by the same guy who did 300, another good adaptacion of a great graphic novel.

Check the comic-con posters, they´re awesme

Wait, is it an actual novel, with few to no pictures, or it it a graphic novel?

I thought they would at least need two films to get the whole graphic novel into a film. At least three hours I would say.

I own both the Dark Knight and Watchmen, but I will never read either because they are too fucking thick for a comic.

Isn't a three-hour film acceptable by today's standards anywho?

Surely they could pass off with a 2.5 hour movie and release the whole 3 to 3.5 hour movie in some "8-DVD Special Collector's Edition Director's Cut Featuring 49 Hours of Footage Not Shown in Theatres" deal or something.

You know it's gonna happen with The Dark Knight as well...

It is probably acceptable but I wouldn't like to sit down to a 3 hour film, I would rather just have two.

It´s a graphic novel, written by Alan Moore and Illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Here´s all you need to know.
