Yes, for some reason, everyone thinks that ALL CAPS, exclamation marks, and swearing
makes me sound dumb. I usually use ALL CAPS, and exclamation points, when I'm excited or

but you really have to step back and look at your post. Now, think calmly, and tell me if you don't sound just a little immature?

Well, is it immature for a 13-yr-old? And um.. oh man, I had alot more to say, but now I can't remember it.

Well, I wasn't exactly Buddha at age 13 either. And you're actually displaying a lot of intelligence right now; by acknowledging immature behavior, you show others that you recognize it as immature, and that you can learn from it to become a better person.

Agreed. That said, even the word "f*ck" can give them the impression they're making some kind of impact, so it would be best to refrain from that.

I'm curious if any of the NG auties have 'parade horses'.

You know, cause it's assumed that a lot of auties are quiet in social interactions overall, but there are topics of interests for which auties are known to rant about none stop if you address them.
I've known someone who was into trains. I'm not sure if he was in fact autie, but his behaviour certainly pointed at that direction. If you mentioned trains he was impossible to shut up about it.
My brother has this at this point when it comes to animes.
I, myself, don't have it. But maybe some of you might...

Okay, so step twelve is world domination. What are steps two through eleven? (Such thoughts...such wicked, wicked thoughts...}:D )

But in all seriousness, autistics can be very successful people if they can master social skills. And granted, that's much easier said than done for many, but I've found it to be worth the effort. It's a lot easier to get by in the world without throwing a tantrum at the drop of a hat--and I've got firsthand experience in that.

Step one: admitting you're autistic
steps 2 to 11:???
step 12: world domination.

I'll do my best. I feel the biggest reason so-called "normal people" have trouble understanding autistics, is that they literally have trouble understanding autistics. It's not a language barrier, but a misperception of our behavior, especially when we're...upset.

The trick to this is, conveniently, growing up. By learning (and to an extent being taught) what is and is not acceptable behavior, an autistic person is better able to recognize the unacceptable and stop it before it comes out. It's a challenge, of course, but worth the effort. Better managing our feelings, and changing habits that we don't like in ourselves, leaves us better overall.

I'm not sure if I made my thoughts any clearer, but I gave it a shot.

Well, I believe there is no such thing as normal, because everybody is unique in their own negative/positive ways. If there was normal people, many of us would all be boring, but civilized.
At least that's what I think so far. I'm FINALLY on Summer Break now, so I can give more thought to it.

what is and is not acceptable behavior,

Yea, my speech teacher tries to teach me those kinds of things, since 6th grade when she introduced "Expected and Unexpected Behavior". Several times a year she'll say, "Now _____, is that expected or unexpected behavior?". Although I hate going to my speech class, and she nags alot, she just wants to teach me the rights and wrongs in behavior.

an autistic person is better able to recognize the unacceptable and stop it

Yes. Mayve one day, I'LL FINALLY stop screaming at the motherfuckers who bully/pick on me at school, and deal with them by annoying them, or memoriizing a list of snappy comebacks.

RIGHT FUCKING ON! I FUCKING hate people who think they're "normal" and everything and everyone should be "normal". Here's a question to all those people who think they're "normal":

WHAT IS IT!? WHAT MAKES A HUMAN BEING "NORMAL"??

We're ALL different, ALWAYS have been, every single one of us, no matter how much or how less we have in common with one another, there will ALWAYS be that one, two or many things that make each and every one of us unique! And it's about damn time that these fuckfaces who call us and other people with learning disabilities stuff like "geek", "freak", "spastic" and "retard" should drop their belief in what should be "normal" since it has NO FUCKING MEANING and start accepting DIFFERENCE. "Normality" only brings misery, pain and discrimination, NOT peace!

Looks like you met somebody who has alot in common with you. ;D

Lol indeed!

Glad to see StupidHumorKing thinks the same thing that I do!

I don't see how this whole "normal" thing makes sense! And this guy always called me a spastic!!
One time, he invited a friend, who said autism should be called fuckingspasticuntism!
DUDE, those kinds of people should be burned in a fire for intolerance, as a certain girl calls it!
It is being intolerant of certain groups of people just because they're different
in a way that people don't like! EVERYONE'S FUCKING DIFFERENT IN THEIR OWN FUCKING WAY!

SO, TO ANYONE WHO THINKS AUTISTIC PEOPLE ARE SPASTICS/FREAKS etc., GET THIS THROUGH YOUR FUCKING 5-ft deep SKULLS!!

If a such an abstract concept such as normal was ever achievable, the whole society would collapse over itself, there's nothing that is truly "Normal", since normal implies a mayority of completly exact individuals, which is much impossible. If it was even possible, what we call "racism" would be nothing in comparison. Does being black make you "abnormal"? Just because african american people represent around 6% of America's population, doesn't mean a black person isn't a normal human.

I agree with you two. You guys ever heard of the saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover"?

Well, it works in people situations too. There's nothing wrong with blacks, gingers, nerds, aspies,
