Actually, this guy could be autistic considering he's clueless enough to take that guy seriously.

No one sais that. The small dishes go on the top and the large dishes on the bottom, and that should just be common sense so that you don't end up breaking your dishwasher.

It is a joke thread, no one here is autistic.

Of course there are! Out of all the ng members on this website, there's bound to be someone with AS or Autism.

I've interacted with him before. He's posted in this club before, he's called me stupid, and he is ALOT smarter than he's acting!

There's a lot of people who is autistic, I was extremely surprised, but it seems to be really common, well, I've learnt something and I am eager to learn more, since I originally thought being autistic was really different to what it really is. I remember I had a friend who was autistic, he was a really great guy, I remember that once, I was playing card with him and he suddenly took the cards and stacked them all in a pyramid in around two minutes, it was incredible, I remember I took a picture of it. It was realy cool to hang out with him, I think that there's a lot of people who come here just because they think it's a joke (like I originally did) and think the same that I though before reading a few pages.

Okay, so... shall we ignore him then? Sounds like a plan to me lol. No offense, but if this guy's gonna act like a jerk, then ignoring him's a good option.

That's awesome :) I think that's common with autistics or aspies when we suddenly just build something straight from mind to real-life or computer screen. That and maths too.

A lot of people with Aspies and Autism are intellectually smart, but lack the skills to emotionally and socially control themselves.

I try catch myself if I get too emotional about something and learn the signs when I get too obsessed on a subject so I can stop prior to getting extremely emotional.

Anyone else experience this?

I don't have any sort of Autism, but It's good that there's a club for it and I support it!
I DO however have Marfans Syndrome....But I'm really lucky because unlike a lot of people with Marfans my chest isn't concave or convex.......Im just eerily skinny with creepy long arms, legs, and hands.....But everyones got a cross to bear right?

I'm an undiagnosed aspergers.
My aunt happens to know a lot about autism, teaching special needs kids. I spent a lot of time around her one year and she recognised the symptoms.
I've never actually been diagnosed by a professional, but my family has done some research and I fit the bill perfectly.
My primary trouble is an absolute lack of social awareness - clothing is functional, not fashionable, I like what I bloody well enjoy, even if it's not popular, and I tend to exude an aura of callousness because I try to be brief and to-the-point when interacting with people I don't know very well.
I also hyper-focus on individual tasks, such as gaming, for weeks and months on end.... I often get so wrapped up in books I forget to eat and sleep.
I think the OP had a great idea for promoting autism awareness, and I thank everyone who has shown support for this thread. :)

Now that I agree on. Many autistic people aren't very good/have a hard time understanding certain social things, like for example, I'm not good with sarcasm. About 3 times a day, I'll hear my mom say "I was being SARCASTIC", cuz I didn't know. And while I have B's and A's in school, I appear stupid both online and offline.

I don't understand why some people assosiate autism with an inferior comprehention ability. In fact, there has been cases all over the world of autist kids that have a higher IQ than most kids.

Exactly.

I have an IQ of 138.
Im 3 grades ahead in math and I push pretty decent grades.

In fact, I've been able to kinda overcome alot of my social handicaps to a degree.
Like to the point that if I met someone they wouldn't know I have a mental handicap unless i told them.

Ah yes, I've heard about those cases. And I was able to tell time at age 2, and do addition at age 3,
which I hear is above normal, AND it could've been caused by autism.

Wow. Impressive. Hate, swearing, death threats and homophobic comments all in one post with too many caps and exclamation points. Way to show your IQ there, dude. He was saying that people often confuse you with a stupid person, and now I know why.
Don't get me wrong, he shouldn't be pointing fingers like that, but you really have to step back and look at your post. Now, think calmly, and tell me if you don't sound just a little immature?
