So, would ya like to join, my good man?
Yeah sure! *thumbs up*
Hazzah!! So, got any stories ya'd like to share?
Hmm... any stories relating to Asperger's...
Well, a couple of them have got bullying in them, because of the way I was. A bit too personal to go into detail with.
I did do a comic strip for a college magazine between 2001-2004. Had a cult going on within the college apparently, so that was cool. Even signed 2 autographs and had an interview printed in the final copy of my year! lol. I always planned on turning it into an animated series one day, thats when I get what I need...
I was accused of being a "user" to one of my friends years ago because I always went round another friend's house. Didn't really realize the first friend's feelings. Didn't really grasp communication that well. Still don't, as I'm a bit gulliable and don't know some of the time if someone's taking a joke or not... I'd also say something accidentally that maybe horrible to someone because I won't realize it. Like when you plan on saying something and you think you've got it right to let it out of your mouth, but sometimes you get a negative response.
I'm cool with one-to-one conversations mainly, face-to-face. But more than one person and I end up feeling like a "cameraman" because I want something to say to contribute to the group, but its timing the right moment to but in that's a problem. Plus it depends on the subject. I mainly talk about certain video games and... I dunno other non-hobby related stuff.
Apparently when I went to an autism awareness meeting before uni, the speaker said I'm a model for true-uni-student material, or something like that :S
I don't look people in the eye that well, it's uncomfortable for me. I'd look well in a girl's eye when I fancy them or in a relationship with them. I've had 2 girlfriends, both from the net.
Lastly, ever since I knew of my Asperger's, I've been sharply aware of the split between Difference and "Normality" amongst our society. I hate it when people tell me to do stuff that's considered correct about socialising and being accepted within a society. For example, get any job after going through college and uni just because you have a degree and people thinking "Oh, he has a degree now, he can do anything" Yeah, WITHIN A CERTAIN SUBJECT YOU FUCKING DICKHEADS! OR someone telling you that small dishes go in the bottom shelf of a dishwhaser instead of the top I mean WAT DA FAAACK!?
So yeah, everyone's precious Normality (WHATEVER IT FUCKING IS TO THESE SHEEP) has an arch nemesis. Me.
Why can't they start realizing that NO-ONE is Normal, but DIFFERENT from one another, no matter how much or how less we have in common with someone else, there will ALWAYS be that certain something that makes us different. Normality only brings pointless murders on our streets just because we aren't this "Normal" that they speak of. If people aknowledge difference (to an extent where it contributes to not only mankind but a society of true peace) then we can get along and also learn new things amongst each other. If people are different in a bad way, then they should be directed onto a good path.
I'm all for Difference, one of 7 keys I believe that can unlock True Peace.
... lol, slightly off subject there (maybe) but there was something inside of me that had to get that out :D
On a random subject, I was classified as one of the top 100 gamers in 2004 by Game Stars ITV. Also I hate insects so much that at one point in Cornwall (England) when I was younger, a fly or wasp kept buzzing near me while I put a coat over me waving my arms... while walking 3 foot away from the edge of an estimated 50 foot cliff drop lol. OH, and I've cut myself while putting on a sock lol.
I'll try and think of more of my memories and experiences later! lol
One more thing, may I have that fancy NG Autism Club banner you have in your Signature please :P do I merely copy and paste it?
