Autistic people unite!!!!

Don't underestimate the power of autistic people in large groups!!!

This club was made for autistic people to connect, maybe we could help each other with problems, or make jokes, and stuff like that, but let me just clear a few things up:

1. What is autism?

Autism is a social disorder, not necessarily a bad thing though. All the things you need to know are here.

2. I'm not autistic, what can I do here?

If you're not autistic, you can still join, ask what it's like to be autistic, and do stuff like that. HEll, if you have some other disorder, we can talk about that too!

3. This is gay.

NO, YOU!!!!

Rules:

1. No flaming
2. don't gargle hot sauce.
3. Don't Spam
4. Have fun!!!

Oh wow. I thought this was a joke, when I first read the title. Looks like it's real.

I don't think many NG members have autism, but I wish you guys the best of luck in your new club.

so yes unless you only had slight autism it is neccesarily a bad thing unless you did have autizm but currently dont in wich case i support this club 110%

my cousin Connor is mildly autistic. He can talk to people and have conversations with people, but he does things like writing a word over and over, or getting "hung up" on certain tasks, such as finding a missing pen. He's six or seven, but didn't become potty trained until recently. His dad said that he's easy to take care of, because all you have to do is put him in front of a TV. One of my close friends is autistic, although very mildly, more mild than Asperger's. He's pretty much just like a regular person, only he's really intelligent and clever, at the price of being an asshole to some people (usually just behind their backs haha).

Title spelling mistakes aside, I approve of this group.

Yea, I do stuff like that, but since I only have it mildly, I don't have violent outbursts, and I know how to talk.

I get yelled at a lot for not looking people in the eye, it gets pretty damn annoying. People at school like to take advantage of me a lot though, since I'm the only autistic guy that I know of in my area (No one in special ed is autistic at the school I go to), and they're always asking (I get asked 4-6 times a day) me why i always spin things in my hand, and try to take them. Most of them are really stupid, and think I'm retarded. One guy toppled me over a table, and into a chair because I was trying to explain to him that I'm not retarded.

In fact, not even my own friends get it. Today, my friend snapped something I was spinning in my hand, I wanted to kill him after that...

Anyways...I do like being able to hear things louder though, it's pretty cool.

Yea, I didn't learn how to tie my shoes until recently either, and I suck at it!

Tell your cousin I said hi!

This is probably the best club I've seen in a long time...if only you didn't make that goddamn typo in the title.

Anyway, I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was 13, but I also have major depression and schizophrenia (all three diagnoses have been corroborated by many different psychologists and psychiatrists), which seem to have more damaging effects on my mental state. I had a fucked up childhood, not only because of my mental disorders, but also because I was frequently beat up as a kid as well. I still haven't recovered...probably never will either. Sadly, I don't have any relatives who have an autistic spectrum disorder, yet for some reason I was cursed with one. I have a 3-year-old cousin who may be autistic, but he hasn't been professionally tested yet to my knowledge. I know for sure that he experiencing a speech delay, considering that his vocabulary is only limited to a few words (far fewer than would be expected for other people his age) and can't speak in full sentences.

God fucking damn it...

Well in most cases people with autism can be very open, they just tend to focus on one subject of conversation and have trouble interpreting what others say.

Fuck it all, you bastards.

I got Cerebral Palsy. its a mild case though. It just affects my right arm. if i stick my arm in a hoodie pocket you wouldnt even be able to tell theres something wrong with it. It use to worse when i was younger my whole arm would flail and now its mostly my hand, only when i get excited or nervous my arm gets uncontrollable. im hoping that i can learn how to fully control my hand. I can do most things on my own with one hand, they even let me have a drivers license.

This is getting to be a serious club.

No, I do not want to join. I do not feel like joining in more clubs. However, I can contribute to this, since I do know someone who has autism. Then again, autistic people are not that rare, since it is like 1 out of 192 people who are.

That person I know does not have the autism that impairs learning capabilities. In fact, that person has a 4.0 GPA, in Honors society, and well . . . very talented. However, the condition what makes him/her autistic is he/she is not social. That person works well by his/herself. I believe Albert Einstein has the same kind of autism, but I do not know the name of it.

Well, I am just informing that I do express empathy to those who do not live a normal life. All I can say is it is never right to persecute anyone just because they are different. Though behave differently, they are nowhere inferior.

I heard Bill Gates was mildly autistic, I'm checking for that right now. And you're right, It's not very social, but a lot of autistic people can't talk, and I never exactly meant this to be a serious club, but whatever.

Unfortunately, you should not have messed up on that title because that is an important part of the thread.

Anyway, I hope to god anybody with autism won't end up like this guy.
