Horrible joke is horrible.
That's amazing!! What did you use to make it? I say DAS clay or something like that.
I like your arts a lot, and how varied they are.

It's made from low-fire clay, like what you'd use to make pottery. I ended up painting it with some cheap acrylics and old brushes instead of glazing it.
It was near the end of the year, so there wasn't many different kinds of glazes left.

A little something I did a few months ago :)

It's a nice drawing, but this is my personal art thread, for my own drawings. Go ahead and make your own showcase thread if you like, but please don't post any more of your pictures here.

Wow. I haven't updated this in awhile. Here's some drawings from my Life Drawing class; so nudity is involved.
This one is from the fourth week of class, made with soft vine charcoal.
.
And this one is from the sixth week. Also made with charcoal.
.
The last one. This one was made during the seventh week; it's white chalk pastel on black canson.
.
So I had been planning to update my thread regularly, but suddenly a fractured radius appeared. Drawing with my left hand's been interesting, but those nonsense drawings aren't going to see the light of day. In the mean time, here are a couple sketches I made before I fractured my wrist to prepare for my final.
.
And here's something of a composition and light study. I'm not too sure how much I like the way I cut off the legs, and the rib cage is too big for my taste. Also, the smaller hand and the head were just place holders I used to play with the light source.

Good stuff though, would be awesome to see this more fleshed out with a fully filled black bg and the legs in it. I don't have a problem with the size of the ribcage really, do think the shading on his body can be a bit harder (darker darks).

I definitely agree that the shadows should be darker, but I was mostly using this sketch to map out where the shadows would fall. I've been playing with the idea of having a really harsh contrast between the highlights and shadows on the figure, i. e. I'd make the highlights almost the white of the page and the shadows the same or nearly the same tone as the background.

How did that happen?

A driver wasn't paying attention, and turned left at an intersection when I had the right of way. I think the picture says more than I can about what happened next.

Look at that. My lefty practice is starting to pay off.

Wow, that looks horrible. Did the driver at least try to help you out?

Yep. While another person called 911, the driver got some gauze strips to wrap my knee while we waited for the ambulance. Now I'm working with her insurance to get my hospital bills paid.

It's supposed to be the sun, and I know it's hard to tell right now.
I'm glad you think it's interesting. It's been going better than expected, all things considered.

In celebration of getting the cast off of my right arm, here's a small sketch dump.
The majority will be from my life drawing studio; anyone who doesn't want to see varying degrees of sketchy nudity, avert your eyes.

And the last one for now.
Notes. Who fucking needs 'em?

Breaking in a new sketchbook. I wanted to see how well it handled ink washes.
One of these days I'll get masking fluid for this kind of thing.

WIP for one of my finals.

Welp. There it be. I see a couple of things I need to fix, but it's pretty much done.
