The thing with pop cultures jokes is that they don't age well. Refrences to recent movies or celebrity events get old very quickly. They just aren't inherintly funny.
I have nothing against people who can use pot and lead a productive life. It's these sanctimonius hippies that make me wish I was a riot cop in the 60's

I just feel like the episodes get really bogged down with cut away gags and don't actually get anything accomplished, kinda like FEMA at the Super Dome *SHOW A 10 MINUTE REEL TO GET TO A CHEESY ASS PUN*

There are a couple of things I dislike about the newer Family Guy episodes. One is the chicken fights that go on forever. Another thing is the scenes that go on and on and on, repeating themselves over and over again.
But other than that I still love Family Guy, including the newer episodes.

Family Guy is a pretty decent show, though I'm not incredibly fond of it or anything. I used to like it a ton two years ago or so, but I kind of grew out of it I suppose. The flash backs are really annoying, and a ton of the references aren't funny. In my opinion, South Park is a lot better than Family Guy. But hey, that's just me.

I actually like the new episodes more than the old ones, regardless of what everyone here says. The only thing I hate is how neglected the show is by it's creators. There are hardly any new episodes coming out because they're roo busy making episodes of American Dad, which should have been cancelled long ago. They're also doing the spin-off show with Cleaveland, which looks god awful.

I agree with most of what you said. Except that I like American Dad. I find it funny, yes. But they're fucked over. WHY ARE THEY making a spin off of a character that is not in every episode, and is fucking black. And has nothign to do with the Family Guy story, the spin off. Family guy itself is pretty funny. Flashbacks are getting retarded, and chicken fights are gay. I walk away from the TV to allow myself some time to relieve anger.

Compare prime Simpsons episodes (seasons 1-9) with any Family Guy episode. The Simpsons is better.
